Doesn't he realize that the way the war was directed by "neo-cons chickenhawks" is one of the reason why things are failing-disbanding the army-not enough troops-persecution of ALL baathist many who were just public servants-leaving the borders basically ignored for a couple of years-the guy had a chance to fight (5) times and he deferred-but ya know he is representative of alot of Repiubs (not all)-hope he moves to Dubai along with Halliburton.

I'm confused about the "news facts" presented. Apparently they were training with "automatic weapons", but they were also trying to buy automatic weapons. So which was it? Did they have automatic weapons or not?
Certainly all terrorists are evil and should be sent to jail. Probably these guys were planning to cause some major damage at Ft. Dix. But, have you ever been to Ft. Dix? It is a large military installation with lots of highly trained military people, who are armed with real weapons. How did these bozo idiot terrorists think they could cause major damage to Ft. Dix? Now it seems that maybe they didn't even have automatic weapons (or did they) after all. The whole incident will make the FBI look ridiculous if there isn't more solid information forthcoming.

I want to join the Air force, but I am already married to someone who is not in the military and can't travel with me should I be placed somewhere far away. Would joining the military put too much strain on my relationship? Would it be worth it to join?

QUOTE http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/05/09/nmen09.xml
" According to the study men take the same pleasure out of looking at an attractive female form as they do from having a curry or making money whereas women do not take any significant reward from looking at pictures of men....The survey published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B said that brain scan studies show that "reward centres" are triggered in men when they gaze at a woman's face or body whereas they are not in females. It also shows men are more likely to make an effort to view pictures of the opposite sex and pay out money. "

We can readily see how to fight a war against state-sponsored fascism as we did with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan and state-sponsored Communism as we did with the former Soviet Union, but aren't we stumbling in our attempts to fight Islamic terrorism that is not a state-sponsored ideology?

How do we fight an efficient war against terror-advocating Islamic fundamentalism while winning the hearts and minds of the citizens of Islamic nations?

Certainly, it isn't by attacking a country like Iraq and allowing the abuses that took place at Abu Ghraib!!!!!

Just pretend that there is no law around, no slaughtering of innocents please=)
Examples of Unsafe Locations: Crime ridden ghettos of major cities, most war torn countries of the mideast; pretty much any place that would require a gun for your survival.

Is that how we won the Cold War?

We had to keep our powder dry in case we had to go to war militarily, but we fully realized that the war against Communism had to be 99.9999% ideological.

And we won the Cold War sooner than our most optimistic dreams could ever anticipate.

With this undisputed victory in mind, why aren't we fashioning our war against Islamic fundamentalism primarily along the same ideological lines?

I'm doing a video project on terrorism and I have seen this clip used on several TV programs and news clips that I think would make a good opening shot. What it is, is a shot of 7-8 AK-47s in the air forming a "cone" like formation with someone holding a Qur'an in the middle of it. I tried to find a photo of it to use as an example of the clip, but can't seem to find any. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

PS- It has to be downloadable as well.
