How would you end the war in Iraq?

Before ending the war we all should ask why we went to war.
The USA declared policy in the Middle East is to protect the oil supply and to protect Israel. Forget about WMDs that was only an excuse to go to war without the blessing of the UN. Did the war save the oil supply? Is Israel more save after the war?
The answer to both questions is no. To end the war we have to change the USA policy in the Middle East. We do not get oil for free from the Middle East and Israel must end its occupation of the Arab land. If we change our policy in the Middle East the only losers are the lobbyist who make money out of wars in the Middle east.

Stop all travel. No travelling between towns without permit.

Get rid of the media. Making them live outside of the military protected zones should be enough. If not, make sure they just don't get an Iraqui visa.

Identify the places where most of the attacks come from. Wall them off- ditches, barbed wire, brick wall- the works. if possible divide such towns into smaller sections- the smaller the better. Big open lanes between the compounds- free fire zone, patrolled by ULM or simply a motion sensor. If anything larger than a rifle bullet comes out of the township- lob in a few artillery shells. Or switch off the water supply for a few days. They'll get the idea pretty quick.

Use the loyal fractions for internal policing- eg Kurds. Get more Kurds from Turkey if necessary. Any township which cooperates gets benefits. Any township which stays "rebel" stays behind the wire.

If a shortage of oil workers/ electricity workers/ infrastructure workers occurs, then get expatriates- eg from Bulgaria or Roumania. No way an arab will manage to hide in that crowd.

Brutal? maybe. But effective and fast.

I would take everyone sentenced to more than 10 years in prison in the US and fly them over to Iraq. When they get there they would get an AK-47 and 1000 rounds of ammo.

Then we would leave and would forget about the whole place.
