Yes, after Saddam repeatedly violated the terms of the cease fire he agreed to in 1991 it was well past time to finish the job.

There is no war in Iraq – the war was finished about 4 years ago. We do need some peace though!
See the definition of war!
From the WIKI - War is a prolonged state of violent, large-scale conflict involving two or more groups of people.
Iraq is not prolonged nor large scale

No! I think the experts have already put the lie to that notion. It has pretty well been substantiated that the invasion of Iraq was all predicated upon lies, deception and disassembling, to use one of Dubya's favorite mangled words. However, knowing Dubya's previous history as governor of Texas , I am not at all surprised that he stooped to these sorts of tactics. After all, deception and hiding the truth is his stock in trade. Just ask the current governor of Texas, Rick Perry, who is hiding all of Dubya's papers from his days as Texas governor from the public's view, scrutiny and criticism.

Yes it was, and we must finish what we started. No matter what the rhetoric is noone is leaving till it is done. There is no way any president will leave with 1/3 of the worlds oil supply open to Iran or anone that takes over as we leave. It would be an economic disaster and no president will allow that to happen (well we hope not)
