Just pretend that there is no law around, no slaughtering of innocents please=)
Examples of Unsafe Locations: Crime ridden ghettos of major cities, most war torn countries of the mideast; pretty much any place that would require a gun for your survival.

My M-16A2, of course. With a sidearm of a .45 Cal M1911. And plenty of ammo for both please. That combo has gotten me out of many a jam.

On the other hand, an even better answer might be the main gun on an M1A1 Tank and the commanders M2 .50 Cal.

Yep, those are my two guns -- strip the loaders coax off and give me an M1....I'll roll any neighborhood on the planet.

First, pretty much any Ruger 357 magnum revolver with a six inch barrel. There is a ton of ammo around for it, both 357 and 38 special. There is also "shot" ammo for it so using it to get small game/birds is possible. Never a fear of not being able to find ammo. It is also reliable, easy to fix, accurate and rock solid.

Second, any 1911 style 45 ACP. Same comment about the ammo being very common. Reliable, reasonably accurate and when you hit a "target" it goes down.

I would carry both concealed. People may expect you to carry one gun, the second one would be the edge.

A S & W .357 magnum pistol and a M-16. I would also like to have a 3" magnum 12 guage shot gun with choke removed.

In a ghetto type situation the shotgun would be the greatest deterrent.

These people are all looking at it wrong. Rifles are for long range work. In the hood, up close and personal???? Believe me, you'd want something like a Remington SP-10, (10 gauge shotgun) chambered for 3 1/2" magnum shells. Use BB or maybe BBB shot. Saw the barrel off at 20 inches and you're in business.

An 18" barrel 12 ga. Remington 870 shotgun, and a Glock model 22 in .40 S&W caliber. If I' m allowed a back up weapon, the Colt M 1911A1.

Auto pistol for close in protection. S&W Military and Police pistol, chambered for .40S&W

A automatic light weight short barrled single shot or a rifle that can fire over 600 rounds per minute.
Steyr AUG-HBAR Light Machine Gun. .45mm.
Both guns have short barrels and would be very handy in the streets.

.45 cal. Auto for a hand gun and an AK-47, only because ammo and parts are the easiest to come by. It is the single most prolific weapon on the planet.

A loaded one for me & a loaded one for my son , the Army Ranger. I shoot well but he is sniper qualified.
I want a 357 Mangum because I know how to shoot it & my son will bring his own automatic whatever he qualified with.

I hope I am never in this awful place & I trust the US Army to make sure I am not by keeping the terrorists on the other side of the world.

Primary weapon would be an AK-47 for range and stopping power and volume of fire, plus those things are durable.
Sidearm I would have to say a Glock 21, mostly because I own one and love it, and of course its a .45.
