It blows me away that now Washington is even trying to limit how much money our troops are going to have on supplies..... I wish we could just get rid of all those idiot OLD politicians, that only have their own interests at heart and get some level headed people in there to run the country. NO to troop withdrawls, and NO to timelimits... we started this we need to finish this. USN Vet

For Jeepers.... read some of this http://www.thenation.com/doc/20060828/scahill... and as far as factual... All I asked is why we can't pay our soldiers more when the "private" soldiers are making upwards of 300$ a day there. I am in close contact with a friend there who is a "Soldier" and he is making serious money! His last deployment for his "unnamed company" netted him 7200 dollars over 40 days there... not including the daily allowances, write offs, and travel expenses.

Because these sick bastards didn't learn anything from Vietnam. At least we call it a war this time. Too many panty waisted Dr Spock reared spineless chumps.
It is NOT OK to give up.
It is NOT OK to use troop funding as a political token in the middle of a damned war.
It is NOT OK to screw the people in Iraq that have stood up and fought with honor and courage.

uh....finish what? I have no problem supporting our troops but why throw away more money to FIX a Country that does not want fixing?
Our great, great grandchildren are going to be paying for this "war".
Who are we to say this is how your Country should be run? Come on, everybody knows we are only there so Bush can settle a grudge and say "see Daddy, I fixed them for threatening you. Wasn't I a good boy?'

The US doesn't spend billions on private agency soldiers.

Contractors in Iraq are not allowed to bill the government for the cost of their security arrangements.

The contractors foot the cost of thier security.

Maybe if the last administration hadn't cut the military by 420,000 troops, we wouldn't have to hire contractors to provide food, housing, laundry services for our troops.

Please get your story factual, there are more money for our troops, more than what the loyal Bushie wants, he is the one holding the money up because he seems to be using the pork barrell issue to veto the any war budget. Bush believes he is the only one to be able to spend the money anyway or anywhere he wants to.
