I heard from some guy when you sign up they ask if you tried marijuana, even experimentally. If it is over 5 times, they will not let you in. Is this true? I want to become a pilot. I am seventeen, and recently I've gotten a commercial burglary charge too. What are the chances of me getting in?

All I have seen was lets run and hide. I did hear recently they have a plan to continue training the Iraq army and police.. But if the Iraq forces don't have our in the field backing, from what I have seen they will be slow to act and many will die as a result.

Article:

"The 11 Republicans who confronted President Bush on Tuesday, and promised their continued support for a policy they know is disastrous, have committed an act of indescribable hyprocisy and shame.

On an issue of high honor involving life and death for thousands of American troops, they show the president their poll numbers and promise the president they will again vote for an escalation they know is wrong.

Someday Americans killed in action may reach 4,000 and Americans wounded in action may reach 30,000.

Perhaps the 11 House Republicans will return to the White House and read the president their poll numbers again.

Heroes, they are not. The tragedy in Iraq continues and they vote for it, again."

I have a few questions: 1) what branch of the military is the easiest to get into/how do I get into it after college? 2) Is there any way you can be in the military and just have a job where you remain perpetually in the United States and never have to go overseas no matter what? 3) How intense is the basic training? Is it like a boot camp where people yell at you constantly? (because between you and me I really cannot take being yelled at like that. I would never complain, but at the same time I am only able to do what I am capable of, even if someone is yelling at me). 4) How long does basic training take, and do they provide you with the things you need to live off of while in training? 5) Do they provide you with a job and/or an affordable place to stay? If you had a family would they accomodate the family too?

As President, do you think Bush should be required (starting in June '07) to call the relatives of every soldier we lose in Iraq from June of '07 on until he leaves office, and let them know that their child has died in Iraq?

Maybe Dubya's not exactly seeing things from the perspective of a parent who has a child in harms way, and might need a little reminder???

My husband's currently deployed to Iraq. We're going to have a one month old daughter when he's home on leave for two weeks that he'll be meeting for the first time. Is there anything special you could recommend we do as a family...or that I could do for him?

Second...he won't be home again until sometime next year (our daughter will be at least 8 months old). Are there any problems I can expect from either our child, him, or both? What kinds of issues can I expect...like bonding for example...?
