Do you mean an all-out nuclear war, with two sides trading volleys of 10-megaton warheads?

Then, no, were not.

However, are we approaching the time when someone detonates a nuclear warhead? I believe so. But unlike most other people, I think its us (the US) who detonates one. I mean, we are the ONLY group to ever use one, to kill people. When one looks at the countries with whom we could get into a nuclear war with, the list is zero. Even if we pretend the fake "axis of evil" countries had nukes, their one or two weapons will get them obliterated before they finish celebrating their attack on the US. So, no, that's just not likely.

But the detonation of a nuclear warhead is something I think we will see happen in an American city before too long. And I believe it will come from within, right before martial law is invoked. In our defense, a false-notion attack will probably be needed to save us from the impending financial collapse. Especially if several large countries around the world dump the dollar and start trading euros. Iraq dumped the dollar in 2000 and you see what it got them. If Iran dumps the dollar, and simultaneously announces they are switching their oil trade to the euro, look the hell out.

The answer is no. Perhaps you do not understand the meaning of the word "brink"?

Brink (NOUN):

1. The upper edge of a steep or vertical slope: the brink of a cliff.
2. The margin of land bordering a body of water.
3. The point at which something is likely to begin; the verge

There is no indication that any nuclear power is "on the verge" of any kind of nuclear war. No one has even spoken of such a possibility, so where does this question come from?

Iran and north Korea are not nuclear powers, certainly not to the point where they could launch nuclear missiles at anyone, so who exactly is going to launch nukes and more importantly why?

If you have no understanding of military operations, then this question might actually make sense to you to ask. I assure you that using this tactic wouldn't assist anyone at this point. There are other means, to include other military means, to obtain the effects a nuclear power would desire.

If you fear for your life, try reading, studying and researching relevant information and educate yourself, and leave the "big problems" to those with the ability to deal with it in a substantive manner.

Thanks.

breaking point of nuclear warfare? No, it truly is basically stupid nonsense. a lot uncertainty? purely the ignorant are unclear. coaching remedies lack of documents. The United countries has 100 ninety+ member international places it may call on for militia assistance. no individual's starting up a nuclear warfare adversarial to those odds. The North Atlantic Treaty organization is the most efficient militia alliance in human heritage. NATO's 28 member international places comprise the richest, maximum technologically-stepped ahead & maximum militarily stepped ahead Western countries. no individual's starting up a nuclear warfare adversarial to those odds, both. quite because the NATO powers have maximum individuals of the international's nukes. North Korea's no longer going to do something to everyone. The Korean warfare of the Fifties become North Korea attempting to triumph over South Korea. The UN intervened, kicked North Korea's @ss, and liberated South Korea. purely that warfare by no ability ended with a peace treaty. rather, it halted with a ceasefire settlement. If the NK's damage the ceasefire, they're going to be ideal back at warfare with the UN. And the NK's have 0 prefer to end dropping the Korean warfare. China's no longer about to do a damn difficulty both. no longer at the same time as the US and China are so economically depending on one yet another that any disruption in commerce (i.e.: a warfare) would give way both their economies. What the hell is inaccurate with people those days sh*tting its pants nonstop questioning each and everything's going to reason WW3 and/or Nuclear warfare? people prefer to pipe the hell down and smarten the hell up.

not quite. we are on the brink of a brink of a brink of a brink of a nuclear war. relations are getting rather tense in terms the U.S. and the world. We do something- the world gets angry because we are'nt helping the right country and when we do nothing the world gets angry because we are'nt helping anyone. North Korea is ready and willing to wage a war. We are angry at china for their humanity problems. But they own own a lot of our economy. and of coarse we are about leave the middle east in a state like Africa. (No good) but the thing is, despite all of our problems, we don't want to destroy the world with hundreds of nukes. We and the rest of the world know that the victor of a nuclear war would only be death. (most life on earth would cease to exist due to a nuclear winter from the massive climate changes a bunch of nukes would cause.) so we talk things over like real men instead of fighting like a bunch of kids.

yes, I'm pretty sure that there are enough bad guys out there right now that don't care about killing millions...and enough unscrupulous types who will sell the technology...and enough blind idiots who try to convince everyone that there is no problem.

BTW, Iran's leader has already given speeches about wanting to bring about Armageddon and has tried to 'prepare' Tehran for it...building roads...etc...for the return of the 'mehdi'.

So, when he gets the chance, I think he's going to go for it. Add to that, complicity...trading with Russia and N.Korea in Iran for weapons and technology...and what do you get?

perhaps 'brink' is too strong of a word...I think we'll see something bad within 30 years.

Personally I doubt any isolated detonation, which is the most likely scenario, would ever escalate to all out nuclear war.

But why should we worry when we have 'Think-It-Through' to solve all the worlds problems with his planet-sized brain.

I can't say that it will be anytime real soon, but inevitably, it will be within our lifetime, I'm pretty sure about that. There is just too many bad guys looking for bombs nowadays, and too many people willing to sell them. It's just a matter of time before we get hit, I'm sorry to say.
