I found a picture of a P3-Orion with some... rather interesting items under its wings.

During the Cold War I believe the P3 was a Sub hunter. I know today it is also used as a forest fighter (water carrier)

but the story of this pic is a fight against Saddam and it is armed to the teeth. If you want to help me more then description i can send ya a pic by email or messenger.

It appears to have 7 hard points under the wings and fuselage.

On the outer wings there are at least 3 weapons (cant see the farthest hard point

two of the hard points carry long white missiles (similar to the Phoenix missile but not fat like it) I think these might be Sparrows or Anti-radar missiles)

beside one of them (cant see the other) is a short blue missile (kind of reminds me of the P3 Torpedo) with a set of white colored fins on the ends.

Under the fuselage are two more white missiles (same look) and 2 more blue missiles (same look.

oh and the blue ones have a kind of grey-black

fins on them.

the blues ones also have what kind of looks like black lids (lenses) on the front.

Can anyone tell me what this plane would be used for if it was heading for war in this photo?

Send me a pic !!

The P-3C Block III can be fitted with Harpoon, Maverick and Hellfire missiles on her hardpoints. Missiles with "eyes" or lens are most likely Mavericks. They'd be used against smaller patrol boats

A BLUE missle nominally denotes a test / inert weapon.

I don't know. But I do know that the P-3's were fired upon quite often.
