How would you react if America was being invaded?

Did you just watch Red Dawn on TNN or something? If so, kewl. I would bear arms, and arm bears and every damn thing. But who would it be? Who's jets would make it through our CAP of Eagles and Falcons and X-Wing Raptors? I couldn't begin to imagine the massive headache of trying to subdue a country as large, geographically diverse, well populated and well armed as the US, surrounded as it is by water and friends. The urban fight in Los Angeles alone (where I am) would be horrendous and would take forever, and we don't even have lots of tall buildings or extensive underground facilities. Besides, noone but us and the Brits/French have any real expeditionary capability at all.

I'm a retired soldier. There should be little doubt as to how I'll react. I'm armed to the teeth. Perhaps that is why the 2nd Amendment was passed.

Be forced to submit to our enemies. By then, no doubt, the liberals will have already taken our guns from us, and they will have reduced our military to where it is not effective, which is why we were able to be invaded in the first place. We won't have money to buy any military equipment, because the liberals will have spent it all on carbon offsets and education and oil-for-food type programs in other nations... which is where our enemies no doubt got the money to afford military equipment which they could use to attack us.

Our Liberal leaders will do like the French Government did with Hitler and surrender our country to the enemy and pack their bags walk out of the capital. The CNN will report that perhaps the US deserved this fate for all of the "Attrocities" we have committed over the years... you know, liberating Europe from Hitler, dropping the A-Bomb on Japan who was raping women, pillaging, and burning down the phillipines and part of China, providing economic Aid to Africa, etc.
