If nothing bad happens in Iraq, no one dies or no bombs go off, the media still finds something negative to report? They will say things like "200,000 still without electricity in the Al Anbar province" or "20,000 still without a clean water source in Fallujah"

First of all, wow, what a f***ed up situation right now. Here is the news link for the Iraq suicide bombing and kidnep of three U.S. soldiers.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070514/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq

According to the AP, at least 124 people killed in one day by the suicide bombing...

And the Al-Qaeda claims they kidnepped the three American soldiers... what will happen to them? Can you guess based on what has been happening in Iraq? Will they be executed? Tortured?

By the way, how long will the insurgency last? A year before, Condolizza Rice said the insurgency could last up to 10 years... this is the worst case senario. If this is true, then the U.S. would suffer high fever.

Do you really think the insurgency would last up to 10 years?

Also, the situation in Afganistan is actually getting worse. The Taliban fighters began using the tactics from Iraq, and Bin Laden is still far from being captured, and the guerrilla fighting does not seem to be over soon.

In 1895, "Formosa and the Pescadores" (aka Taiwan) were ceded to Japan in the Treaty of Shimonoseki. In 1912 when the Republic of China was founded, Taiwan was part of Japan.

None of the Allies recognized any "transfer of sovereignty" to the ROC on the date of Oct. 25, 1945. The proclamation of "Taiwan Retrocession Day" , thus indicating a clear intention and objective to annex Taiwan territory, is a war crime.

Article 4 of the ROC Constitution specifies that "The territory of the Republic of China within its existing national boundaries shall not be altered except by a resolution of the National Assembly." In regard to the alleged incorporation of Taiwan into Chinese territory, there is no resolution of the National Assembly on record.

Under the customary laws of warfare, upon the surrender of Japanese troops the local populace in Taiwan will pass under a "temporary allegiance" to the conqueror, which in the post-Napoleonic era will be the principal occupying power.

We bad mouth the French for "caving in" to the Nazi war machine.

And we call them "surrender monkeys".

France and Iraq are both about the same size as Texas.

We think the French people should have put up a bigger fight against the occupying troops of the Nazis and readily condemn them for it.

But when the Iraquis are now putting up the kind of fight against occupational troops we condemned the French for not putting up, we condemn the Iraqis anyway !

You're damned if you do, damned if you don't!

What a "two faced" DOUBLE STANDARD we are applying!

Is the United States bi-polar or something?!!!

Look at the size of Algeria.

Along with other countries besides Algeria, France used to control a THIRD of Africa !!!

How could a country the size of Texas project enough power to control a third of Africa if they were just a bunch of "surrender monkeys" ???!!!!!

To use rodeo talk, they've ridden bulls we've never ridden !

Read some history people !!

I just give up with the UK and Europe and to a large part the US as well. We are a bunch of yellow livered lefty liberals who instead of standing up for our values just want to apologise to everyone.

As much as people try and pretend otherwise, we all know why the 'war on terror' was started and what it stood for. And the large majority of the people supported it. But because it was not a quick war over in a few days, time to turn and run. Start pretending we have all forgotten why we went there in the first place because we all want to be faisonable and PC.

War is Hell. People die. It’s never nice. To those people who thought otherwise, you are just stupid.

I agreed with the reasons we went to war in Afghanistan and Iraq in the first place. Nothing has changed in my view so I still agree with those reasons no matter how bad things get.

What we have achieved so far is sending a clear message to our enemies that we will turn tail and support the very people who want to see an end to our way of life after only a short time. The liberals and liberal media are our weakness and our enemies are using that very effectively against us. That’s why we will lose this war and ALL future wars.

Good luck to all our troops and sorry for the folks back home. Its not your fault.

Our highschool class is doing a debate covering the re-instatement of the draft. my partner and i have decided on our harms- 1) insufficient troops, 2) troop fatigue/exhaution. we need some evidence that can support us. if you find anything please just leave a link to give us the source (you don't need to write anything.. just give us useful links). I'll give the points to the person that can give us 1-2 useful sites that can help us... all we need are 2 more sources covering this topic.
