WAR IS BIG BIG BUSINESS
It can boost up the GNP of any country that dominates another country. Consider this:
Lockheed, Boeing, make millions supplying planes
Rockwell industries -- supply of arms, bombs, rockets
Texas Instruments, Motorola - millions of computer chips for missile guidance systems
GM, Ford, etc - millions of trucks, tanks, trailers, ambulances, fire trucks, etc
Nestle, General foods - millions of food rations, drinks, water
Goodyear - millions of tires for trucks
US Steel - millions of sheet metal, beams, steel for artillery
Plus so many others -- phones, temporary houses, radio systems, computers, uniforms, beddings, office equipments, tables, chairs, refrigerators, body bags, etc. etc. etc.
The list goes on and on and on. And all these items are highly inflated because the government buys them.
So when they say the budget for Iraq is , say, $50 million per day, they are not kidding
ON TOP OF THIS ALL, THEY ARE LOSING THE WAR against a rag tag army riding old camels. Its Vietnam all over again. Long live the American idiocy!!

War does nothing but destroy. Even if certain people profit (in the wake of WWI Britain people had strong feelings against "merchants of death" or the people who owned factories that made the war materiel), those benefits are outweighed by the combined loss of everyone else.

I don't consider war a business but to be honest it has SERIOUS economic benefits. Think of the weaponry and ammunition industries...Haliburton... Blackwater ...politicians and their lobbyists...politicians corporations that they have vested interests in...they, to name a few, have quite a substantial economic benefits of wars.

NOBODY benefits from war. I don't understand why we all just can't stay in our own country and mind our own business. Radical Muslims stay in your corner, we'll (American's) stay in ours.
