You only got a GD for drug use? I woulda thought the military woulda given you the Big Chicken Dinner for that one. Looks like you're outa luck.

well...you made your bed and you are certainly feeling the repercussions of it. sorry, i am against drug use, call me weird. to all of the individuals above: if you come up hot on a piss test then you can be discharged and banned / barred from coming back on post now. do a reality check people, drugs get on post and there are dealers who live within the barracks (yes, that means its a soldier) and being a veteran I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE because I had eyes and knew what was going on (that and I did most of the paperwork that made its way to the legal section aka JAG)...so in order to keep drugs off post keep the person involved in drugs off post. that has been the most recent solution.

ANYWAYS....you could call the MP office like suggested above, then JAG. You should also call the rear-d commander, that was he or she is there for to help spouses work through their problems they might run into that normally their deployed spouse would have been able to take care of for you.

Well I have never heard of anyone being barred from post, I have been kicked out of and barred from a few things in Killeen but never post lol... sorry I lol at you but hell I am bad and have been in lots of trouble there and never been barred... woo hoo someone is worse then me... SO first you didnt state a reason, I automatically jump to the worst reason, that is just me.. You can try calling rear d and see what they think, that is where I would start..If you had explained more maybe we all could help a little more.. so here you go, if you are barred cause you drive badly or dont have proper things to drive on post.. Try having someone else take you on post, if you are barred from the shopping places dont go there just do what you have to do and get off post, and if you are barred from the whole post well then you are going to have to just stay off post.. But I would try going on post at 645 am... that is a bad time to get on post try having someone else take you to a different gate then you would normally pick, I dont live there now so I dont know how the gates are working so you might be able to make it with someone else driving.. good luck on this one, call rear D...

All you can do is write a letter to the Commanding Officer of the base requesting that the barrment be lifted, or modified so that you can use the military medical facility on base, and the exchange commissary. Yes dependents can be barred from base, but they still have to let you have access to medical treatment, the exchange and commissary might be a different issue, he may only allow you access to medical services not the exchange or commissary.

What were you accused of doing? I grew up in the military and I'm now an attorney in a military town. To get banned, you almost always have to be a civilian who is a military dependant and who does something that catches the commander's eye, yet leaves him with no criminal sanctions available. My experience leads me to believe this is the usual punishment for a service member whose children are suspected in a string of on-base burglaries, but there is a lack of just enough evidence for charges to be brought.

You must appeal to the base commander and prove to him that you changed. Even if you believe you were wrongly banned, admit your guilt and tell him how you've changed. On his base, the commander is just short of God and the president in stature. Good luck.

If you get back on, count yourself blessed and be the absolutely best spouse on base. Volunteer for whatever you have time to do. Work your a** off. A commander needs only the flimsiest of reasons to ban you from his base. If you were banned from one, that is justification to be banned from others. You need to create a record that you are a new person and that you are an asset to any base you enter.

Again, good luck.

I would recommend you contact the Military Police at Fort Hood for their guidance.

Then, contact the Judge Advocate Generals Office with what the MP's said, then get the JAG office recommendation on how to proceed removing the bar to post.

Basically, these two offices are the only help that's approved for removing the bar.

Well the only person who can barr you from a military installation, is the commander of that installation.

So the only one who can lift the barr, if the Commanding General of Fort Hood.

And you would have to convince him, that what ever circumstances that lead either him or the last CG to barr you from the post, no longer apply or have been remedied in some fashion.

I know several cases of dependents being barred from Army post, usually for drug offenses.

If you were barred from the installation you were served with a "bar letter" when your chapter was finalized. The last paragraph of that letter should include information about how to appeal the bar to post or request a limited modification to the installation bar.

This question/statement seems a little fishy! I've been in the military 27 years and I've never known or heard of anyone that is "barred" from a installation. Did you mean that you can't drive on the base? If that's true you must have a crappy driving record on the base. Are you barred from the exchange/PX? That could happen I guess if you passed bad checks, or were caught shop lifting.
But being "barred" sounds a little funny.

Bed. Made.Lie. The base is entirely within it's rights to ban you from ever setting foot there again. as for what entitlements a spouse gets.. we don't get any . we get BENEFITS, we are NOT 'entitled' to any thing.

you can request an Off base PCM, but that is just about your only choice there, save being escorted like somebody above me suggested.
