I recently had a sex change, I was a man and am now a woman, can I still be drafted into the military? I am not gay, repeat NOT GAY but very feminine, kinda like a lesbian, and I had the sex change for reasons like the draft, I am not really cut out for a man's life, but Im not gay. Anyway, can I still be drafted into the military? If a draft was called?

If they re-institute the draft, I doubt that you would be 1A after you tell them about the sex change.

Yes... This is a qualified answer, so here goes. Mandatory conscription hasn't been part of our public policy since Viet Nam. After squandering 50+ thousand lives over a "police action," Americans were pretty put off by it. That's why this administration has resorted to using the "Backdoor Draft." They just keep reactivating folks who've already done their hitch. Regarding your question, we've seen women in uniform in countries like Israel for decades. We've also been working more and more towards a fair an balanced America which does not segregate against folks based on race, religion, color, creed, gender, or life style. If ever we get into another war that is so involved that the public will allow the draft to be reinstated, it will begin with anyone (male, female, transitional, and undecided) between the ages of 18 to 26 for enlisted folks. Persons with 4 year degrees might soon find that they can be "qualified" for OCS up to age 35. When it gets bad enough, they'll expand the age limits, drop the physical health limitations, clear out the prisons, and (only if it really gets desperate) start taking rich kids.

There will no draft in a while. If you change your sex because of the draft, it's not a good reason. You say that you are not gay then why you what to be something that you are not? You never know you might be disqualify anyways, because something is wrong with you, like you have asthma or diabetic. You are more then likely won't get drafted if you are in college. It's true that they don't draft female. If you are that scare they won't take you anyways...

umm ook, im what God made me. If you were ment to be a man you shouild stay a man.

You could have taken the route of staying man and getting a great job, not military.

The draft is not a reason for a sex change its some other reason greater than that. So dont twist the facts.
So what are you going to do when some guy try's to hit on you at a bar or some where else? J/W?

well even with the change women aren't drafted. But put that aside for now. You have had a major surgery that would most likely disqualify you. Then take into acct. if you are now tech. a female, (who was not a gay male) you are having sex with the sex that is either now female/female or male/male you are not going to be allowed in the military.

There is no draft now, but if there were-because of your sex change, your chances of getting in are very, very slim.

The military will see you as a man.

The USA does not have a draft right now, if they reinstate it, they could include woman for legal reason.

No. If you are born a man, you cannot join the military unless you have both your testicles.

It's impossible to change your sex. All you did was mutilate your body for vanity.
