Bush will keep us in Iraq throughout the term of his "presidency". Someone else will have to clean up his mess. And he will be smirking at how dumb the American country was for following him. It will take years after he leaves office to tally up how much money he made from the war profiteering he did. If fact, it is so much he may never know an actual figure.

A full Victory in Iraq will constitute the following, a stable democratic government, secure borders, basic life needs( Running water, power, schools, hospitals, food) A democracy can and will no be built overnight! Even America took from 1776-1787 That's twelve years to form a stable government and become Independent. Whether you think the war is right or wrong make no difference, but this constant bickering between democrats and republicans must stop for the Iraq war to become a success. Once those needs are addressed then we can start pulling our troops out and see what the people do for themselves.

OK this "rightie" will answer that for you. Iraqi victory will be accomplished when:

1. The Iraqi military and police forces are cohesive enough to handle any situation on their own.

2. Any and all known terrorists and their supporters are out of commission without any ability to regroup.

3. The Iraqi national government is strong enough to enforce laws and conduct business without our help.

Number three should not be a problem. It's numbers one and two which will take a great deal of time and energy to resolve. It will take a long time. We want to be as sure as possible, that there is no chance some group will gain enough strength, as to mount another attack on our soil. They can have neither the ability to attack us here, nor the will. They will have to be convinced that it would be a useless gesture to even try.

This is a difficult directive to carry out, but it HAS to be done if we ever want our children to be safe. Walking away prematurely just invites catastrophe back to our shores. No thank you.

Any Questions?

Victory in Iraq is defined as Iraq's being able to take care of themselves. When they no longer need our help and can govern and police themselves then we are done, and not one moment sooner.

It's a disgrace and an insult to our armed forces to even suggest that we assign a random date to bring them home and tell them they have already lost. Support them and their mission, and thank god they are willing to go, since we are all still home!

not nearly as bad as not even trying to determine what constitutes victory and announcing to the whole world, our troops and our enemies that "the war is lost"

It is pointless to attempt to try to explain what victory means to a bunch of air headed lefties.

They liberals can only understand surrender

We already had a victory in Iraq I thought...aren't we over there policing Iraq now? Either way I think we are in it for the long run..."you break it, you buy it..."...sucks though when we need to tend to our own problems...and before I get thumbs down let me add...Iraq is not our problem...and before I get more thumbs down...buck fush...
