Let me make this comparison. Your wife/husband has cancer. You want the doctors to stop treatment...the cancer isn't in YOUR body so why bother, right? Tell me HOW our country isn't like your wife/husband in this scenario? Tell me HOW the cancerous terrorism isn't going to spread if we don't fight it?

After all the oil has been stolen from Iraq and millions of its people massacred or tortured by the sadist US forces in the torture chambers of Guantanamo Bay, where will they set their greedy eyes next. Will it be another Arab country? Will it be Scotland or Ireland as new oil and gas has been discovered off their coasts. Will it be Russia for its gas, oh I nearly forgot, they only attack countries not strong enough to fight back. If people go back to using coal or wood for fuel will they invade Canada, massacre and torture the lumberjacks, then steal the wood. Will they invade Wales to steal from the coal mines. Where will they invade next?

soldiers do not play politics, they go where their country sends them. Remember they are the ones willing to lay their lives on the line for your safety if you do not like the war change the government. treat our service personal with respect, they fight for your freedom. I don not believe we should be in Iraq but that doesn't mean I can not respect the individual service personnel. Why treat them so badly when they return home?

I've been looking on Yahoo Answers and I've been reading many answers from different people who protest the war and who are anti-military. But what I am wondering is what do they do to make a difference?

They protest for a couple hours, pack up and call it a day. Afterwards they go on their computer come on Yahoo Answers, and do it there. If you think that that is making a difference and that you are doing something that will get recognized I hate to tell you that you are sadly mistaken. I highly doubt people in Washington consult the Yahoo Answer board for decisions. But what I love even more as that when you come on this site, you blast military people over cyber space. But do you have the balls to do it in real life? Do you honestly think you could walk up to a man/woman in uniform and tell them what you think of them? This is the only place you will be safe ever talkin **** about military people. So enjoy it.

what right do you think you have to say, " stop whinging you knew when you signed up if there was a war you would be sent". being a soldier doesnt just mean we have to fight wars! some of us actually have trades and other jobs to perform rather than firing big guns all day!
for the better part of 12 years i served my country with pride only to find as ex military not a civilian, you, yes you lot were sat in your cosy arm chairs playing monty when youve not got the bollocks to sign up and taste a little piece of military life so dont scoof at those brave and yes they are brave military people who do what you lot could never.

Let's say a large city decided to withdraw support for Washington, DC...and then many other cities of various sizes quickly followed their lead.

Let's say the President ordered all cities who wouldn't submit to obey, be attacked until surrender. What would the branches of the military do? Do you have an opinion?

This is a serious question. I hope you'll answer it after some thought. I believe that within 5 years the answer will be known. What's your honest opinion, please?

rumsfeld cheney & bush were all talking about WMD from iraq & their rapid strike capability & a mushroom cloud over a US city would be too late & we had to rush immediately to war, BUT iran is flaunting their weapons program to the world, daring us to act & mocking our foriegn policies they have no intentions of stopping so why cant we bomb them before they act on thier intentions? this is VERY SERIOUS they are a REAL threat to israel our last crusader stronghold & only ally in the mid east region, cant bush even at least talk tough to them or can he only invade countries without an army?

I'm confuse & unsure if I will join or not...
- Convince me why I SHOULD or SHOULD NOT join USAF...

I heard that if you're a retired military it will be a good advantage when you apply in a private or gov't companies but I don't know how true is it.

- Do you think I'll be qualified in USAF?
I'm a female, 24 yrs old, married without a kid, temporary housewife and only have associate degree in college and have 3 yrs. experience in accounting jobs.

If ever I can join I plan to be on service probably only for 7 or 8 yrs. coz after that I will start to conceive a child...

- How much the US air force basic pay now a days? (I know it's not that much but I'm just curiosity)
- Does the military training hard? Do they have at least once a year vacation to visit there families?

Any reply to this question, advices or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I keeping hearing how pulling out is a "recipe for defeat" or an "invitiation fo Al Qaeda". Does anyone know what the plan for victory other than this latest troop surge is? I haven't really noticed any change in strategy. Did I miss something? What are we doing to get out of Iraq?

And please, no partisan bickering about how Bush is a warmongerer and the Democrats are weak and Al Qaeda sympathizers, we've all heard it already.
