Military - March 2007

I am in college and am thinking about taking some time of to attend the marine boot camp. I will be in the reserves so I can finish school. I am looking at all my options right now and was just wondering if anyone can give me some insight on female marines and what opportunities are available to me. Thanks!!

My cousin just graduated from OSUT for Calvary Scout job in the National Guard. He wants to transfer to active army and go into the airborne Rangers in the 75th Ranger Regiment. He said that all that he has to do is wait six months before he can transfer.

He got 90% on all of his physical fitness tests and a total of 298 on a 300 scale he scored in the low 50's on his asvab so he meets the qualifications.

My question is how hard is it to actuallly transfer from National Guard (local) to active Army (federal)? What if his unit is under staff? He says that he has to go to Germany to do more training (not sure what). What are his chances of getting the transfer and then getting Rangers?

i have been having a lot of domestic problems with my husband. we are waiting for our house to sell, then we are going to get a divorce. for the time being, we still live together. i went and talk to his first shirt about it a couple of months ago. i poured my heart out to him. well, in the long run the first shirt did absolutely nothing. my husband desperatley needs help. he's very mentally/verbally abusive to me (and one time physically abusive). he is now telling our toddlers to shut up all the time and he spanks them..hard. this weekend he kicked me out of our house, took my keys and my debit card and left me with nothing but the clothes on my back. he let me come back on sunday though. this is a taste of what i go through all the time. before i ever let him see our little ones after our divorce he needs to seek professional health. can i talk to his commander about this, since his 1st shirt did nothing to help?

A friend of my boyfriends just came out of the marines boot camp and is on his ten day leave. His attitude is completely changed and I dont think its for the better. He is obsessed with it, refuses to engage in any kind of conversation that doesnt have to do with the marines or how great and brave he is. I respect his decision to join, but since he has been home, I almost cannot stand to be around him. His mother is visiting from another country and I have spent more time with her than he has, he often will just drop her off at our house and go with his other friends. (She is a sweet woman, so I dont mind spending time with her, it just irratates me that he is treating her this way.) When he is not begging everyone to take his picture "One more time" in his dress blues, he is staring at himself online. So what I want to know is if I should let the behavior slide or say something? Has anyone else ever witnessed this kind of behavior for someone that just got out of bootcamp?

What do you belive is the greatest Aircraft carrier of WWII? you can have more than one and can be from diffrent countries. I will accept Heavy, Light, and Escort Carriers.
