I always heard this rumor, but i am not sure if it is true. If it is, why? And what's wrong with flat feet anyway?

When in Viet-Nam flat footed people were not allowed into the military because it affects how your legs carry weight and how your back and hips displace weight. I am flat footed and asked a recruiter about it and he said that they will take them now because the boots and equipment are better than before. It was a *stereotype* that flat footed people can't do the marches and carry ruck sacks for long period of time.

If the military was to bring back a draft Flat Footedness would not longer be an issue as they have better equipment and better medical implements such as boot insoles.

because there is NO DRAFT!

Only Democrat congressmen propose reinstating it and even they don't vote for their own bills.
