The word "created" is a poor choice. A more fruitful question is - What causes hurricanes? Then you can ask a meteorologist.
Bringing an undefined "God" into the discussion only muddies it. It immediately raises the question - Which God? There are hundreds of them. If you don't think Poseidon causes hurricanes, then why blame it on Yahweh of the Hebrews or any other particular God?
Until you can show that (1) there is a God, (2) he happens to be the one you were taught to believe in when you were a gullible child, and (3) that even if he exists he gives a rat's @ss about creating stuff so long after he got done with creating and decided to rest up, then try asking a better question.

Hurricanes are created by weather patterns. If you believe that God created the Earth then He set weather patterns in motion. If you believe earth evolved from the Big Bang, then weather patterns are set by nature. Either way, people chose to live in the path of hurricanes.

Hurricanes ARE created by nature. Neither by man nor god. It was god that was created by MAN. I can see the confusion.

hurricanes are caused by evil forces that surround are planet and are terroristic in nature, and dont care who they destroy, you see, I willl tell you that our planet had a normal orbit for thousands of years, we came along and upset the earths magnetics by the thousands of skyscrapers that we have erected, upsetting the natural polarization of the earth, look in to the difference between what the norths were for the last hundred years

What is remarkable is not that George Bush made one hit New Orleans, but what is more amazing is the next year he didn't allow any to hit anywhere in the gulf coast.
