I am in college and am thinking about taking some time of to attend the marine boot camp. I will be in the reserves so I can finish school. I am looking at all my options right now and was just wondering if anyone can give me some insight on female marines and what opportunities are available to me. Thanks!!

You can do basically anything except combat arms (infantry). Plus, you will have the opportunity to be part of the most elite military branch that this country has to offer. Anyone who has not been in the USMC can not understand what it means to have earned the right to be called "Marine." You will get much more out of being in the Corps than just job skills - leadership, self-confidence, self-respect, camaraderie, 'esprit de corps', etc. I suggest that if you are thinking military, go talk to the recruiter from each branch, and see which one is the best 'fit' for you.

The obvious is any clerical rating, If you are going to be an officer then there is a great possibility of Intelligence, Aviation maintenance, Helicopter pilot, test pilot, Supply. I don't think you are allowed any combat positions though I may be wrong. Check with your recruiter and he/she will be able to help you.

Clerk, Nurse, Doctor, MP, Maintenance, Communications, Cook, Supply & Logistics, Transportation, just to name a few.

i can not understand why any WOMAN would want to join the Marine Corps. im not against women doin anything and i served in the Corps along side women, but i just cant figure that out. if i had a daughter i think i would recommend the air force or something.

do yourself a favor and join the Army !Marines are strictly combact-kill and destroy.Not a place fo a female.Forget the political correctness bullshit ,women are not meant for combact.
