The same as a Lance Corporal over a Private First Class. He's the senior officer, what do you think?

A 1LT is senior to a 2LT - therefore if a 1LT gives an order to a 2LT, the 2LT is to follow that order. Most units in their MTOEs make the LT slots as 1LT (time progression).
However, as a 1LT I had a Company Command in a Battalion with 2LTs in the platoons. I had the "command" of the unit, therefore my guidance/orders were executed IAW the position of the office as Commander/Commanding Officer.
However, the standing joke is "no virtue among hookers, no rank among Lieutenants."

Depends on the position
If the 1LT is the XO or Commander of the 2LT than allot.
if not none at all (may not be the book answer but 2LT's do not salute 1LT's and they are all peers)
"Rank among LT's is like virtue among Whores"

The only real difference between a 1st LT and a 2nd LT is if they are both in the room everyone has to listen to the higher rank. other than that. not much else. they both pretty much do the same job. One just has a little more experience and gets paid a little more.

Not all that much, because 1LT is just one notch up from 2LT.

Put it into civilian terms. Officers are the company supervisors and managers. Second lieutenant is a manager trainee, general is the CEO. Everybody else is in between, hopefully working their way up.
