Do you agree with St. Augustine that war can be "just"? If so, do you think President Bush’s decision to invade Iraq was just? Why or why not? Also, do you think he made the right decision?

And what is your military history?

We all know the history of the ever-shifting rationale (Sadam and Al Qaida, Sadaam and Osama, W.M.D.s, aluminum tubes, spreading freedom and democracy...etc.). I wouldn't expect Bush to ever tell us why he really wanted troops in Iraq, but are there even any more fake motives, plans or goals...anything but "We'll stay as long as we have to."?

I dont know if this has any truth to it, but one of my favorite authors talks of a very.... enhanced B-52 which he describes as a flying battleship with all its gun, engine, body designs, upgrades.

It has a V shaped rear tail (two tails). 4 big engines instead of 8. and a SR-71 shaped nose.

I have heard rumors this is a real plane. Can anyone tell me if it exists?

Our boys in Afghanistan reported back pretty quickly in 2001 that it took three or more center-mass hits with their .223s to stop the Afghani tribesmen. I'm inclined to think that a move up to 6.8mm or .30 cal. is warranted.

Any thoughts on this? Do you know if the military is considering a larger caliber for general issue?

Years ago i got a model airplane of a plane that was supposed to replace the SR-71 blackbird. it had sleeker looking engines and wings (well flatter wings).
I ask this because i think i might have seen one fly over my town but then again i saw a pictures on the internet of a plane that was never went into full production (jet air plane or something)..

Is there such a plane? i dont know many specs on it.. it looks like a SR71 for the most part but part of the wing curves in a 90 degree angle just above the engines. the engines also are not the nassel type ones but B2 type box engines under the wings.

I have a question, and i really need a yes or no on this if you can help me. I figure asking the military is the best place to start.

Years ago a friend of mine went on a tour of Carlsbad caverns and along the way the guide was pointing out interesting parts of the cave. I dont remember if it was my friend noticing something or the guide having said it, but a certain corner of a dark room came up in this story.

he said that there is a set of metal stairs that lead into the darkness. and according to this, it was said to be a secret military base of some sort (maybe a command center of some sorts).

Has anyone ever heard of this? is this true? dont really need to know what it is just if it is.

Im a South African living in London. I have a one year working, one year holiday VISA and am interested in joining the British army. I have heard that as long as you have at least 6 months left on your VISA you can sign up. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on this topic. I am interested in working for military forces in a peace keeping capacity. I also have some experience in Psychology, although limited, and would love to do something helpful in war time situations. If anyone knows of some opportunities available for a Saffa, with 1 year working, 1 year holiday VISA, PLEASE let me know.
