I love reading all the comments you have about are military. I am a Sgt in the Army just finnished up my 2nt year long turn in Iraq 2 months ago and I love to see how the us people care about us. What still hurts me seeing the people that hate the military. The people that are giving there lives and a lot of us are losing are family because of wars, in body and mind. and a lot of peple say we get paid to much. I am leader of soldiers so i have to make sure the have what the info the ablity to keep them safe in war and live and my own family who is over 5000 miles away from me. The love i get from them and hearing the comments is what helps me get though this. So thank you.

I feel that the military is the best in the world, but they are underrated and sometime misunderstood. It is maybe the hardest job in the world because you are lead by someone else that really have you life in their hand. Just think how it would be to leave your family at any moments notice and still be affective at your job. While you knowing that the life of the people you love is still going on. I think they should make more money because that is who let us do what we do without worrying.

the carrier battle groups -
over 140 000 servicemen in iraq - the closest thing as of yet to the hand of GOD

They sure as hell aren't all heroes, angels, saints or above reproach. They're regular men and women who have answered the call of service for their country so there are **** heads in there as much as truly wonderful people.
Some are there for self-serving reasons and others are there because they can think of no better way to thank this country for all they have been given and of course, the whole range in between..
No matter what we think of think of them, we should all still be grateful for their service.

These are all volunteers, no draftees, no forced enlistments. These are gratefull citizens of this nation that volunteered to serve their country. These brave souls and their families are the ones who pay the dearest in time of war. They carry the true story of combat and its horrors that no media outlet can provide. They fight abroad so we can live at peace here. "This We'll Defend" "Always Faithfull" Id like to quote Dr. Martin Luther King, and I want you to think about this: " I submit to you that if a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live."

I think they are doing a marvellous job with very little support and inadequate supplies in places where they are usually not wanted. They should be proud of the service they have given their country and although I dont support the so called war I support the troops 100%.

I thank God for them everyday! Because these brave men and women VOLUNTEER to keep us safe, we can sleep better at night!
I have a brother-in-law in Iraq. I pray for his safe return, as well as the others serving our country.
While I'm here, I ask that all of you pray for them with me.

They don't call it "The Service" for nothing.
Nothing but respect for Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines.

Nothing against them, but they always send in the Scots when the real fighting starts. Remember when they pulled 11,000 US troops out of Northern Iraq and sent in 700 Black Watch soldiers? This is because we are trained to kill with a single bullet instead of emptying magzines of ammo in the general direction of gunfire.
