Honorably....and as a 17 year old volunteer,I thought I could make a difference in how the world would be,but instead I found an older minded person, who realized that the world will be as the world will be,and it's my responsibility to adapt myself to fit in, and do what is required of me to help make it a better place for everyone......

Honorable Discharge after 4 years. The military made me a better person. I care more for others than myself. It gave me self esteem. Not to mention I got to travel, and I met lots of great people. Wouldn't change any of it for the world.

My ex-husband got an OTH discharge. He spent 2 years in the USMC and 2 years in the brig. He's now divorced x2, with 2 kids he's supposed to be paying childsupport for but is finding it very difficult to find a job that will hire him because most people think if you can't get an Honorable discharge, then you aren't going to be able to work for them either.
Honestly, had I known when I married him that he had an OTH and what it was for, I would have run the other direction. Lesson learned.

Honorable discharge. The Military taught me not to whine about stupid things in Life and that I can get through anything that comes along.

Honorable...Medically Discharged after 14 years...would do it again in a heart...but might think twice if there was a Democratic President...been there, done that, got the t-shirt...
I learned so much...it made a better person...I now have a great job a Civilian DOD (DA) employee...I am much better off than most of my friends who are still doing the same thing they were when I left...I did not even move back home when I got out...I think everyone should try it...

Honorably, thank you very much. The military gave me more backbone. I am appreciative of the time I served, and if I wasn't a Mother of three little ones right now, I'd probably go back in a skinny minute. I love my country.

Retired after 25 years of service - didn't want to make everybody go through the hassle of forcing me out for medical reasons.
I joined the Army because I managed to flunk out of college due to immaturity. I grew up a lot in a short amount of time.
Has it changed my life? It turned me from an immature loser kid in an adult body into a person I can be proud of being.
