no you do not get a housing allowance if you live on base, you only get it if your living off base, which is what me and my husband do because we can make extra money that way, when you live on base your housing and utilities are all paid for so there is no need for housing allowance, you do get a little extra for your spouse, by physical i'm assuming you mean benefits, there terrific, pretty much the best you can get, my husband is in the air force and i just got my tonsils taken out, i was referred to a specialist and i didn't have to pay a dime! also all perscriptions are free too!

housing allowance is paid when you live off base, so if you are on base, no allowance, the physical you get when you enlist is different for each service branch, some require push ups some require sit ups, you will need to ask a recruiter which things you need to practice, physicals are designed to make sure you don't have anything communicable, be in good health, do you have any rashes, if you are allergic to metal don't wear any.

base housing= no BAH but you do get BAS
availability is determined by rank and waiting list
physical includes ,vision, hearing, medical screening,HIV test and much more
if you are basically healthy with no serious problems you will be good to go
depends on what branch you go into-----there are waivers for a lot of conditions

yes you can one of the guys getting ready to leave hear is because his wife is in another place so he is recieveing BAH and is currently living in the dorms.

If you are single then yes it depends on rank, but you can always ghost (have a room in the dorms) and pay for your own place out of pocket.

Same as just about any other physical.

you have a choice: base housing, or BAH. In some cases, where the base housing has gone private, you get BAH, but it is automatically deducted from your pay.. the entire thing.

Base housing is limited to married servicemembers. Single servicemembers get barracks housing..similar to dorms or hotels.

I live on base and get six bucks a month BAH, so technically you can get housing allowance on base, it's just very small.
