The tensions are getting higher. Do you think we would have to if they presented a threat to the world? I think if they should continue with their nuke program, we should instead of being like a democrat and waiting until it is too late.

I dont think we should because then they will probably follow us back here then we will have the war in our country and maybe even back yard. Then even more poeple will die and they will put bombs in buildings and blow them up.

I got an Article 15 with 30 days extra duty/30 days restriction and dropped from a SGT to a SPC. The Battalion Commander said I could go back to the board in 6 months but I heard from a retired Army civilian that I could go to the Brigade Commander and he could re-enstate my rank. Is that true and is there a regulation or something I could use to help my case?

I personally never want to fight in or join a war. Killing anyone is something I never want to do. We're just killing people who might have been also drafted against their will. I might just flee the country or go to jail so I won't have to fight. Am I a coward, or should I "fight for my country."

Isn't it more important to respect human beings than countries? All countries' borders change. As much as some people would like to think, their country won't exist at some point in the future. That goes for all countries.

Here in Dearborn Michigan with people who support the insurgents.( They supprt them with their love and heart ) I'm just parting with them. I live among 500,000 Arabs in this area. They are good people and love Iraq. They want the USA out and support the Insurgents in Iraq. ( I believe they send money to their loved ones ) I say it's ok to party with them. I served in the military and it's my right to take sides. I want to be on the winning side. Is it OK to party with the fine outstanding Iraqi people?

Thinking of going Army National Guard, but I am concerned about the skill level for the troops. Don't want to be led by an 18 year old idiot. I can go active duty if I wanted but the Guard is offering a 20k sign on bonus for my MOS (MP). I am 25 so this is a career thing for me.

By no means am I trying to downplay the sacrifice of our armed forces. I respect them for their honor and allegiance to the greatest country on earth.

However, while I understand the comparisons between the messy wars of the 70s and today, how can people compare hundreds of thousands of american casualties to only 3,000 thus far? I just don't get it...
