Bleh, all those "heroic sacrifices" wouldn't have happened anyway had the war not been started at all. So, don't insult their memory by saying Bush and the Republicans raid for oil is valid in any form.

The US put a government in place in Iraq, built up an army and police force, let them take care of their own country.

I'm a liberal, and was against this war from the beginning. I think that we should leave Iraq as soon as possible. However, we attacked them, and destroyed their infrastructure. They don't even have electricity or running water 24/7, and that is on us. Colin Powell warned Bush that once we invaded, we "owned" Iraq, and are responsible for the country and it's people. If we don't stay until we fix our mess, then we are even more guilty.
That being said, we will never win his war militarilly. That is an absolute, carved in stone, f^^^^ing fact. If you don't believe that, then Hide and Watch.

and make all the heroic sacrifices pointless. yeah lets tell all the grieving families that we were never serious about going into Iraq just wanted a crack at it..you know like practice. no its a War and hopefully no one will make the mistake of pulling ever one out.

PS: anyone who says we should leave them be, hasn't dint a whole lot of research on terrorists. THEY AREN'T NEGOTIABLE

I think we should. Im not saying this only because my best friend is deployed overseas but because the cost of war itself is something that the US is going to have to deal with long after the war is over. Its too much. Bush lost control of a war he thought he was taking care of.

Some of you need to learn some manners. You ought to be able to answer a question without insulting someone. Pointing out spelling mistakes of a young child is NOT intelligent discussion.

I really think we should stay until the job is done. Our soldiers are doing a great job over there and to bring them home now without finishing the job could be detrimental to the mental state. In the long run we should simply support our troops as much as we can and make sure when they do come home we give them a heroes welcome.

Er, that's a selfish reason to bring the "sholdiers" out of "Iraaq." It's not the LOCATION that matters, but the fact that people are dying so much. I think we should bring the soldiers out of Iraq because war is ridiculous and pointless; we just need to leave them alone.

Really? How are "they" going to get over here? Who? The Iraqis?
Under Saddam the Iraqis could never "fight over here". Are they gremlins that will stow away in the military transports?

Yes we should bring our soldiers back. We need to secure our own borders here. We need to spend all those millions of dollars on improving our transportation systems, education facilities (schools and colleges), and new technologies. We need our troops here.
