I just walked outside to find that the kids down the street paintballed my car. Now i have huge red paintball marks on my white car. What should I do? I was going to call the cops but I am waiting until my fiance gets home. I took my video camera outside and got it on tape. What should i do about it.

my friends and i sneak into R rated movies all the time, and we've been caught and thrown out by security officers before too. last saterday we got thrown out of the theater by the manager and they got really mad b/c we kept argueing with them. they told us we couldnt come back in that night but since we still had the ticked stub we snuck back in anyway/ we ran into the same guys who kicked us out the first time and he said he let us go easy. he sed it was breaking the law and we could have gotten in huge trouble.
is that true? if so..what kind of trouble can you get into?

An insulting letter came in my mail box today. The person writes about my lawn being unkept (it's not) a broken down car in our driveway (it's been there since Februrary) and how our house is a monstrosity to the neighborhood.

We didn't build this house. It was added on to by the man we're renting from three years ago (We've been living in it for a year). Instead of the standard 3 bdrms it has 6 so you can see how its an oddity in the neighborhood.

What can we do about the letter? It was sent anonymosly through the mail with no return address. Can the police get involved?

We're not noisy people. We don't have parties and we're friendly with our neighbors. We keep to ourselves and this letter is very distressing and insulting to my family and I.

Anyone noticed how much useless information and junk there is on the roads, stuck on a steel pole, cemented into the footpaths? Why do we need all this rubbish and why is some company making a mint out of all this stuff which is nothing but a waste of council tax money. Why can't we just have tidy and clear footpaths and roads?

It is a residential parking ticket. I haven't got a pass yet and you get 3 hours at a time move it. I had moved my car within plenty of time over an hour, in fact. If the officer is not present can I seek dismissal on those grounds alone? The ticket was illegally issued anyways but the easier way the better way.

My "official" charges were:
Driving without headlights when required
No valid drivers license
Operating uninsured vehicle

A ticket for each. My license wasn't suspended or revoked, I just didn't renew it.

To the retired officer that asked.

Thank you for all the advice.

I had a situation a few weeks ago when I went to a store a few weeks ago. When I got in my car to leave I had my parking lights on and not my headlights. I was pulled over about a half a block away and of course asked for license an insurance. Well my license expired and of course not being a licensed driver I cannot be insured. I am a 31 yr old female who has not even had a parking ticket let alone a speeding ticket and I was arrested. My husband had to bail me out of jail and my court date is 4/13. I've been on many different sites and made many calls and they tell me don't worry about it and that I shouldn't have been arrested. They told me to explain my situation to the DA and proof of a renewed license and proof of insurance, but I'm terrified. I have never been in troubel before and now I have to deal with court. Any advice? And yes I know I should'nt have been driving on an expired license uninsured, I definately got that message sitting in jail for an hour and a half.

My son who is 17 was charged with tresspassing, along with about 50 other kids some minor some over 18. What happened is that in school a rumor started that a fight was going to happen in a parking lot of a local building. All these kids went to watch. The fight never happened, nothing was damaged or nobody got hurt. The police showed up, and blocked all the kids in and gave them tresspassing charges. Well to try and make this shorter, we wind up paying the fine of $142.00 and now we are wondering if when he goes to fill out any application for jobs, college or finicial aid for college or any other thing that may come along, does he have to say yes he has been arrested before? We were told by some people that he would have to write yes, and then other people have told us no, it is only a summary offense and it will be no harm to him in the future and he should not have to write that he has been arrested. I am confused on the terms or severity of this? Please help me understand!

Had a crash in my sister in laws car .(not my fault!) and assumed I was 3rd party covered on my company comp policy. I'm not.. nor it would appear am I on my wife's and spouse comp policy on the other car. The police have given me a producer.
Am I in for six points and a fine and where do I stand with the other driver? Can I still pursue a claim against this driver?

The reasoning is that they keep your license to insure that you either pay a fine or show up at court.

But does the state of Missouri, for instance, who issued the license, give them that right?.

This new law goes into effect Sept 1st. You can shoot to kill someone that threatens you in your car or office. (Before it was just your home)

From what I understand, the use of lethal force is allowed for violent crimes like rape, or if your life is threatened, someone unlawfully trying to enter a protected place or removing someone from a protected place.

I have never understood why it appears that when a cop gets into trouble all police seem to feel that it is their right and their mandate to protect the bad cop. I'm trying to be open-minded and I understand that the world of a police officer is vastly different from most "civilians" but that still doesn't give them carte blanche to protect or cover up for scum just because they share a uniform - evil people are evil people no matter what their "dress code" is. And I'm talking about the blatant, no doubt type of behavior such as the Abbate cop in Chicago. How can anyone defend those type of actions? I even give police the benefit of the doubt when the situation is not one hundred percent clear one way or the other such as the recent shooting of the wedding party in New York. Come on, mean, vicious thugs are still that, even with a badge, and not to be simplistic about it but they do freely choose their profession. A rational answer from someone in law enforcement would be nice!
