If you go to the court house, you probably will not be arrested. Where I live, we have "add-on" court for people who missed their court dates or who have misdemeanor warrants. Be prepared with any documentation you need.

Well, the main thing is you need to do something right away. It will only get worse, and eventually you will get picked up and it will cost you more. Generally if you appear at the court with a valid excuse, they will not have an officer place you under arrest. If you are unsure, I would reccomend calling and speaking to the court clerk. Thy can usually look up your info and tell you what the best way to proceed would be. If you can get to the court and make an appearance, they may still drop the warrant, it will be up to the judge who hears your explanation. They will generally go fairly easy on you with a failure to appear on a traffic violation, but the longer you wait, the less likely the judge will be lenient. If you can get the warrant quashed, you will still need to have a hearing on the original citation, and if you plead or are found guilty, they will most often work out a payment plan with you.

You need to contact the county attorney's office. Explain to them what has happened and ask if they will schedule a new court appearance for you. They may work with you, but to be on the safe side I would call from a cell phone or a payphone so they don't know where you are. Good luck.

That is a very small warrant amount. Just go to the city jail and they will probably just give you a new court date. It is always better to self-surrender. Call the jail first if you want.

Turn yourself in. The more time that goes by, the worse off you'll be. The court will appoint a lawyer for you if you can't afford one.

You need to call the court clerk and straighten it out. They will work with you.
Unless you like being in jail, three squares a day, no rent, stylish clothes ... It has its advantages.
