Ignore it. If the person who wrote it does not have the guts to face you in person they don't deserve anything more. Keep the letter in a file and document everything that happens, date time it happened or was discovered and result, get names of people who saw it or who know anything at all. Be descrete because you want information not for people to clam up because they don't want to rile the neighbor or to get involved directly. Take pleanty of pictures of your yard and the car etc. and keep them in the file too. If it ever goes to court you are prepared and probably would win unless you really have an old beater in the yard and the yard is really a mess. Work with the landlord, if you don't own it and see if he has any suggestions. Offer to do some landscape improvements for a reduction in rent. Sometimes landlords are happy to see that you are taking a positive attitude toward improving their property. The cost to have you do it would be a lot less than a landscaper.
Don't be stressed out over it. Just get your ducks in a row and keep them there.

Get a grip. Sending an anonymous letter is not a crime. Ignore what is untrue and don't keep a broken down car in your driveway because its tacky. There is no point to forward the letter to your landlord unless you think he should correct any of the other issues noted. Given the broken down car fact, it sounds like you have lower standards of reasonableness than your neighbor.

Make a copy and give it to the Police. Cowardly neighbor dick weeds do this. You do want to keep the house looking decent as most communities have standards enforced by ordinances. Make a file and date and time everything and present a copy to the landlord. Now this may get you kicked out by the landlord. But if you retain copies of Police reports, complaints etc., and if you are not violating any laws, then you may have a court case. You will certainly have more " paper" if someone attempts to have you removed by law.

Unless there was an illegal threat or something else criminal in the letter then the Police will not be able to help you. It would fall under the neighbor's freedom of speech.
If you are renting the house you may want to let your landlord know about the complaints just to give him/her a heads up.

Make sure you hang on to the letter, and photocopy it, in case it goes 'missing'. Keep a record and diary of events that happen, for instance if you are harassed or stalked, or receive hang ups. There's no guarantee that the police will do much.
From what it sounds like, it appears to be an angry neighbor. If it's practical then talk to your neighbors and say how you are worried about it. If it's some idiot, they'll give the game away, and if you keep compiling evidence and records, then you'll be in the right, although it could take some time.

I think you should put the car up on blocks and pull your couch out into the front lawn...and maybe the refridgerator too=)
Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. If your house is not unkempt and you don't have anything unsightly in your front yard then I wouldn't sweat it. As for the car, you may get a ticket from the police if your neighborhood has any laws about it. In my neighborhood a car can only sit for one month before it has to be moved or have the ability to be moved.
If the letter is not threatening then the police will not get involved...

Ignore it. If no threats were made or implied, and your race or religion was not brought up as an issue, there is nothing the police can or will do. You have a neighbor who is venting.
He could be just a kook, or maybe "his" lawn is nicer than yours and he wants everyones lawn to look like his. Who knows.
Put it away in a drawer, save it, and either in the future laugh at it, or use it as evidence of the first sign of harrassment if things should get worse.

Being as there were no threats involved, there is no point in sending it to the police. Chances are, everything in the letter was the truth anyway.
You can either take the letter's content to heart and clean up your mess or ignore it and continue to be the community eyesore.

Why don't you either A) ignore it, or B) use the energy you would have used to go complain to the police and take it to court and waste everyones time and money, and actually clean up the yard a bit. Enough with the "I'm offended" stuff.
