The cuffs can be slipped beneath the individuals belt where both cuffs are affixed to the individuals good arm while the belt holds the arm and handcuffs in place.

some departments have a special set of cuffs call tri-limbs

they cuff both leggs then one of the arms

suspect can still walk but arm is secure
