Law Enforcement & Police - March 2007

I had my driving test scheduled for this morning, but I didn't even get to drive because the instructor pointed out that my blinker light was exposed. The blinker and all of the other lights work properly, the plastic cover is a little broken on one side though. She said that I could get a ticket for this and we couldn't continue the exam. I understand getting a ticket for something like a crack in a windshield. The exposed blinker seems minor to me though. So was her reason valid or was she just trying to zoom through the tests today? I asked if I could quickly get it fixed and come back to take the test, but she said I'd have to reschedule and also mentioned that they were under-staffed today, with only two examiners available. I am very dissapointed.

I was issued a citation on March 3rd and when I first looked at it and signed it everything seemed right but then I looked at it just a few hours ago and it says I was at the block of 1400 W when I was at the block of 1700 W can I get this thrown out by fighting it in court because the police officer wrote down the wrong location I was at for the crime?

I'm doubting a lengthy prison stay. But I am also somewhat doubtfull that he will walk.

The murder took place over 40 years ago, and the victim remains unidentified. I can't find any information online and little information in old newspapers. To my knowledge, the case will remain open until the victim has a name. If I went to a local police station, could they give me information? How else can I find out about this case?
