In most cases, people aren't told over the phone if they have a warrant. They will tell you to come in to find out.
If you think you have a warrant, you obviously had a legal situation you did not straighten out. If you never took care of it and think you may have a warrant, you probably do.
Go in (with fine/bail money in pocket) and deal with it and get it off your shoulders.
Look at it this way, you go into the clerk's office at 9AM Monday morning and deal with it for an hour and get it straightened out.
OR
You get pulled over at 1AM on Saturday night while having fun with your friends. You get embarrassed and your weekend is ruined, and you sit in jail til Monday morning when you see the judge.

1. Go in person to a magistrate's office and ask.
2. Befriend a cop and have him run your name...
