My boyfriend is being federally charged with crack cocaine posession. We are doing everything we can to get his sentence reduced, but his time is calculated on a point system. Several points have been taken off of his snetence but I'm really not sure how much time one point is worth.

A person was on probation in Grant County Indiana. They were arrested in Wayne County and sentenced to 2 yrs, because of this arrest there was a warrant for Probation Violation in Grant County issued. Can the two years and the time for the probation violation be ran together and how do they make that happen?

I know someone who was stopped by the police. They had a camera in the car and the police were cocky as hell, until they learned the guy had a camera. Then they were like little boys. A camera in your car is legal and makes sense. They are smalll enough and inexpensive enough now to hide and you'd be wise to use it with all the sobriety and seatbelt checkpoints. If they harass you our violate your rights you can sue the **** out of the bastards, because cops aren't your frined. Cops are the very ones who will be blatantly violating your rights in the near future. All you have to do is roll down your window enough to show them your driver's license and proof of insurance. They can't ask you any personal business. They can't ask you where you are headed? If they do just tell them you don't care to discuss your personal business with them, but be polite and have your camera rolling. You don't know you could get millions if they violate your rights. Protect and serve not harass.

i was at school then when luch started right so then i go to the small freezer to heat up my burrito, so then some teacher tells me to get my fat but out of there! then i tell her that i am just heating my burrito until she tell me this: well sorry i do not care!, just get the hell out or i will have escort you out. So then i threw my burrito at the wall, instead of hitting her (to get my anger out of myself), and started to pound on the doors. So then that teacher sounds like she wants to start a problem with me. How can i deal with her nonsense if it happens next-time? However this is the first time since some teacher has gave me a problem perhaps, i am not going to let someone to try to start a fight with me next time. Also is that considered as verbal abuse? U know what i mean, such as like someone-else trying to raise there own voice at someone-else.

So a friend of mine's BROTHER (let's call him Hank)wrecked her car the day before he left for Russia. He was arrested, no license and he did not speak ANY english, and released on $1,000 bond, which she paid for (let's call her Susie). So Susie went to court on Hank's behalf yesterday hoping to get the case wiped clean or at least have NO warrant issued. She has already lost her $1,000 bond. The judge however doesn't care that Hank is back in Russia, is 18, and did no damage to anyone or anything but Susie's car. (We all thought that no warrant would be issued, because it would be more paperwork than necessary)

The judge has given Susie 30days to get Hank back into the US or to get a lawyer on his behalf. It is impossible to get Hank back here for another 6 months. and the lawyers have been quoting her upwards of $2,000 to defend him, which she can not afford (she could barely afford the bond). She is really upset and crying, she doesn't want her brother to never come back, help!

Ive been a police officer for about a year now and Im growing tired of the hours and having to deal with the worst of the worst. Im wanting to start a family soon and would like a "normal" job in that I would get to see my family for more than just a hour or so a day. I have a BS in criminal justice. Do you have any suggestions as to any areas that would be good for me to investigate. Im looking for the private sector instead of gov't work...thanks

Does anyone live in a street where you need a parking permit? If you live in the house you are entitled to it ,and you also get a visitors permit, for your visitor so you dont get a ticket. But the council also have given out business permits which means there is free parking for anyone who applies, not just businesses on my street either, which means there isn't enough spaces for the residents. Has anyone got a similar problem and have you had any sucess with the council to revoke the business permits. It's really frustrating when you can't get parked anywhere, especially with kids and shopping, thanks.

My two young girls were sexually abused two years ago, the accused has been questioned about it but after four months the case has now been dropped through apparently lack of evidence, despite the Police beleiving my children are telling the truth. The accused has been questioned on three previous occasions, where different people have accused him of doing the same, this spans over a ten year period, but each time he seems to of wormed his way out of any punishment whatsoever. Is there anything i can do now with relation to getting some sort of conviction, the man is a risk to children, also how do i explain to a 11 and 10 year old who were brave enough to say what they did, that the man who did it to them as got away with it scot free, without even a caution. I'm at my wits end not knowing which way to turn, does nobody worry about the danger people like this pose to society, or is it easier just to sweep it under the carpet.

Please help, only serious answers. Thank you

An example, last night I turned on my tv and the lady upstairs started beating on her floor, loud enough to make my dog bark. She has complained to the office many times of loud music and doors slamming. I have lived in apartments all my life and have never had this problem. Do I have any rights?

It was a dark time and one person fought tirelessly month after month his whole life to change the laws which meant comfort for some and cruelty for others. For strength he quoted Psalm 119 on his way to parliament every day and year after year he proposed a change in the laws knowing it was not likely to happen yet, yet justice and mercy screamed he must NOT give up. His friend Wedgewood even made a piece of china to help the cause which proved to be influential in Europe.... the work of who's life will be celebrated on the 20th aniversary in a few weeks by books and movies?
