What would you request?

Alcohol or tobacco is usually denied. An unorthodox or unavailable request will be replaced with a substitute. Some states place tight restrictions: all food must come from within the prison system. Maryland does not offer the condemned a special last meal. Texas limits last meals to food available within the prison system, though occasionally brings in food "from the free world."

My understanding is that Death Row prisoners can ASK for whatever they want, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will GET it. Most states with the death penalty say they will do their best to honor any "reasonable request," but there's no clear definition of what constitutes a "reasonable request."

If I were on Death Row, I would ask for the most disgusting, stomach-wrenching smorgasbord I could think of so I could do a Linda Blair all over the glass once they open the curtain for the spectators to watch...

You can't say, "Mmmm, I could really go for a nice cold pistol with six bullets and just a dash of salt."

Yeah, I think they wouldn't provide that kind of a meal request.

Me? On death row for KILLING someone? No meal request necessary. I'd be having a full plate of guilt and a tall glass of remorse.

I think they can request anything they want after all, it's their last meal.

What would I have? Hmmm, I think it's a toss up between a home cooked roast meal, complete with all my favourite vegies or order in Red Lobster....now, that's a meal!

From what I've heard, you can order anything that the Prison has in it's kitchens stores. If they don't stock it, your not going to get it as your last meal.

I would be too nervous to eat anything. Maybe a cold can of mountain dew and a hersheys bar.
