Law Enforcement & Police - February 2007

I'm in Alameda County and the FTA is for traffic court. What steps must be taken to clear it? And, doesn't a FTA automatically become a warrant rather it's for a traffic violation or not?

I hope it's the start to something but I suspect it's just some political lipservice. Kudos to the LA chief trying to do something about the problem but it might be too little, too late. He always will be hamstrung by politics.

Tickets, Fines, Fees Crimes that make the city or state money. I know we couldn't live without them but it seems unless it involves the state making money they really don't enforce those kinds of laws

Ex:illegal immigration If they stopped and detained illegal immigrants they couldn't profit from that= no enforcement

Ex:Joint of weed in your car = busted!

because we were wrestling around & i got upset & it got into an arguement i tried to force him off me & i ended up hitting my nasal bone on the bottom on my refridgerator, & i fractored that bone. when the cops got there i told them a diffrent story & now he could be facing up to 5 years in prison on this, what should i do i go met with a county attorney today about this & about are no contact order that the state automatically puts in affect. what should i do & how should i do this for the best of the both of us.. not to mention we have a 6 month old daughter. help please

Every year my wife and i get a request to send money into the police or sheriff for some reason. I got disgusted and told them I already gave because i got a ticket for going five miler over and that was $116,,,i think..but the person just laughed and said I get tickets too...I just have to get rude and slam the phone down..any other resource? as the last election i was told the dems and rep. could call even if you are on the no call list..thats not right

I just read that Joel Stienberg who was Lisa Stienberg's step father was released from prison. why was this man released from prison. He shouldn't have never been realsed in my opionin. he killed an innocent little gil his own step daughter. Why is the world so messed up at times?

For instance, a serbian police officer saying to a croatian, with minimal provocation, that he will not take his word because he is a "filthy croat", making a three-finger salute, reporting on his radio that the person "definitely behaves like a croat" (along those words), and just generally expressing his contempt for croatian people, and getting into childish arguments. This person was reporting an assault that had happened outside the station, and it simply was not addressed. And there was absolutely no provocation on his part. This is in Australia here, New South Wales. Is making racial slurs allowable conduct for police officers?

We have hard working people all over that don't break the law and they don't always get 3 meals a day. I say we give prisoners 1 meal a day and no tv. It would save so much money. What do you think?
