Johnson Van Dyke Grigsby (probably February 1886-18 May 1987), of Jefferson County, Kentucky. Grigsby was convicted of second degree murder in 1908 and eventually paroled from Indiana State Penitentiary in Michigan City in 1974, having served 66 years, four months and one day

there was a girl from my county that shot her grandfather in the head with a shotgun while he was in bed... she was 14... she was tried as an adult... life in prison... I don't know if she's still alive or what but... when she does die... she might be close to the record...
