Tickets, Fines, Fees Crimes that make the city or state money. I know we couldn't live without them but it seems unless it involves the state making money they really don't enforce those kinds of laws

Ex:illegal immigration If they stopped and detained illegal immigrants they couldn't profit from that= no enforcement

Ex:Joint of weed in your car = busted!

I guess it depends on your state or City and the level of corruption they still allow!

Regardless: Do you even realize that the officers usually make far less than the SOB painter/sheetrocker/laborer/ditch digger that usually is so drunk when he kills someones whole family that he is limber and comes out with out so much as a broken bone?

Do you realize that all the equipment that they spend all that money on may help to save their life, or your life, or your loved one's life from some thug that makes 10 times as much $$ selling drugs or copied DVD's?

Think about alllll the professions that make a S***load more $ per hour than the cops that come running if you ever do have to call 911.

My point: the officers don't get the $ for enforcing the law; the municipality does, and whatever their Council/ Commission allows the department to budget is what they can use the following year for supplies or a 3-5% raise- if they're lucky.

I don't know about where you are, but in my town, the money from fines and stuff like that is put back into the city. Basically, we're paying to live here. But it's put to good use. The local city police just used a shitload of fine money to put radar and video cameras in their cars. The county used some money to install video cameras in their cars, and every year at Christmas, a percentage of the money paid in every year goes to buy toys and clothes for underprivileged kids in the community. So they use the money for good, not to line their own pockets.

NOW, is law enforcement about making money, for who
the POLICE THE STATE, what do you mean, because
if you break the law there are various mechanisms in
place to see that you learn from this, i.e. Fines, Jail and PRISON
terms, Illegal immigration is a problem everywhere leading
to a huge influx of desperate people prepared to commit
crimes to live.................it also involves a lot of cross boarder
drug dealing as well as a lot of money laundering, there are
immigrants involved in crime all over the world, but likewise
there are those who are seeking refuge, albeit illegally.................
who do not do crime but are criminals merely because they
are in a Country ILLEGALLY..........................................................

DRUG crimes should always be handled and prosecuted
at every level all the way up from dealer to kingpin and their
businesses and properties should be removed no matter
which country they come from, or which countries they
have moved to or lived in...............................................................

The only way to stop crime is to hit criminals in the pocket
the only way to deal with immigrants involved in crime is
to prosecute jail and deport them summarily................................
