I think that you told the police the truth the first time around and are now having second thoughts (you had to "force him off you?"). If it is really true that you made the story up contact the police officer you dealt with and explain it to him/her, be prepared to be charged with public mischief. The officer may also just say that they don't believe you and the case will proceed to trial.
I have dealt with many, many women who change the story after the fact because they feel guilty for calling the police.

See, I don't believe it either. There's a reason you filed the initial police report, and that's because he's hurting you. As hard as it is, you need to get away from him. Don't believe what he says; people who love each other don't hurt each other. It's only going to get worse and worse, until he kills you. My ex-husband started out with verbal abuse, and at the end of the relationship, I was hiding from him because he threatened to kill me.
Here's some websites that may help...

If he really didn't hurt you at all, and you did make up the abuse allegation (although I don't for a minute believe you made it up), then you may be charged with making a false police report.

This is the second time I am answering.Talk to his lawyer and give his lawyer your statement.Remember a lie detector will help if you are telling the truth, but if you are not and you are just scared then the truth will come out.I will advise you to not get desperate and try to stay calm.It is not the end of the world and a little time in prison will not kill your boyfriend.Unfortunatly for some people a little time in prison will teach them to act mor responsibly. Please don't get frustrated. You can speak to the district attorney that is in charge of your boyfriends case and tell him/her your concern.Good luck.

No one's gonna buy that bullsh*t story. Again, just tell the DA that you no longer wish to press charges and they may decide not to prosceute him on their own. Only an idiot is going to believe that you lied about your boyfriend beating you when you were actually hurt wrestling .

get away from him. I dont believe that you hit your nose and fractured it on the fridge. I mean come on. you still have to go to court and testify. it's people like you that are found dead. beaten and he will be going to prison for murder. is that better? good luck and I hope you get some help.

Probably a fine and suspended sentence and probation. It depends upon the laws for your state and what mood the judge is in that day.
