In general, one who is released on bail is not allowed to leave the US without permission from the court (only if one lives in Detroit and works in Windsor could such a condition be modified). A US Passport is now required to fly between US and Canada and a court could require that person to surrender his passport if the court senses that the person is a flight risk. Cooperation has improved between the US and Canada; so, even if one leaves the US - the Mounties will find that person and extradite him right back to the US where he will be locked up with no bail.

Ask for permission from the court via a motion filed by the attorney and served to the prosecution.

I wouldn't recommend it. I recently bonded my gf out of jail. I believe any part of bail is that you cannot leave the county or at minimum the state. I wouldn't go to Canada if I was you. It would only get you into more trouble. Ask your lawyer or public defender.
