if someone kills someone they get life in prison when some one attempts to kill some one but they dont succeed they get rewarded for not succeeding by getting a light sentence? in my oppinion a person who attempts murders and fails is just as dangerous as someone who attempts a murdur and succeeds?i want to remind people our prisons were not built to punish people but to keep the public safe and since people who attempt murder are just as dangerous as murderers why not treat them equally?

This girl got pregnant even though she said she didn't want kids. She physically fought when she was carrying. Within the first four weeks of her underweight baby's life she endangered him 4 times. Throwing things by him and the last time aiming a 12 gauge shotgun at him. She was arrested for that and bailed out and allowed to live in the same house(the grandmother has temp custody as the father can't afford his own home). At 3 months the baby weighs 10 pounds. The doctors for this baby have reported this to CPS, so have friends and this baby is still living with this girl and the grandmother. He has diaper rash so bad it almost blisters, cradle cap really bad constantly and is recieving no love or nurturing. Many times they let the formula they get free run out and he goes without eating. Yet the social worker in charge of the case when confronted on this says the baby should be with his mother even though this girl doesn't care. No PPD here. I thought CPS was suppose to protect kids?

My sister's friend is in jail for criminal sexual conduct. He writes her letters about when he gets out how they are going to go out and how much he loves her. I don't think that guys in jail are allowed to write to minors if they are in for criminal sexual conduct. I live in Michigan and would like some suggestions.

I know that in Texas if you hit someone on private property, like in a private parking lot (on a University campus), you aren't liable for anything. It's like that in New Mexico too. But, do you know if the law is the same for private property accidents in Oklahoma?

When I was a little girl, my Uncle left his gun on his bed. We were visiting. I found it and thought it was a toy pistol. I took it with me to the kitchen and held it to my sister's head and said, "bang." I did not pull the trigger, but the gun was loaded.

While I sit here and fill out this application, all these questions. I cant help but to wonder what type of things can halt you from becoming a police officer. For instance can poor job (cilivan) history, suspended drivers license, slight misdemeanors. I have none of these problems but I wonder what can really hurt you in the application process. Oh yeah I almost forgot it also asked "Have you ever smoked marijuana, first off who is going to admit it, second off if someone would be crazy enough to admit how would they ever find out that the person is not being truthful? These problems are not my problems, just my curiousity makes me wonder. Please answers only from knowledgable people, and no stupid cop jokes, please!!!!!

Until we are able to move which will be sometime this summer, what do you suggest we do about random acts of vandalism in our neighborhood? Broken windows in cars and homes. Police can't do anything unless they are caught, but the cowards never stick around.

An off duty Policeman in Utah was having supper at a restaurant in Utah when an 18 year old decided to pull a Columbine and started shooting people at random. The Officer secured his wife in a safe place and then tracked down the 18 year old and shot it out with him.The 18 year old was killed. The Police Officer didn't have any body armor and the 18 year old had him out gunned. What a brave Policeman! He saved countless lifes because the 18 year old had several guns and a sheet load of ammo left.

My fiance gets pulled over the other night driving my car. It happened to be unregistered. It expired like 35 days ago. He gave HER a ticket, and not me (even though the car was registered under my name)...I registered the car online and paid my $44 to the NYS DMV.

Is it possible that the cops could send me a ticket for not having a registered car?

If they were going to give me a ticket, they would have to give it to me by then right?

Can they send one after the fact?

Anyone know NYS law and how NYS cops work?

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
