I was doing 58 in a 50. I get pulled over by an officer, because I was breaking the law.

I was guilty..no question!! NO problem either!!

So we walks over to my car with a tooth pick in his mouth wearing his sunglasses.

He asked me why OH why were you speeding on MY road?

I said good day officer, yes I was speeding, I am guilty of this offence..NO question about it I said.

but...........

this is not your road...he say's WHAT!!! I said yes, it's not YOUR road, the road belongs to me and everyone who workds in the private sector...those who pay 100% of everything, so you see this road is mine, not yours. YOU my dear officer are an employee of mine, your car is owned by me and the private sector...as per LAW! Please allow me to educate you furthur. We who work for non-governemnt (tax-payer funded) jobs pull the ENTIRE wagon known as my government, you are a part of the 22.8% of the ones riding in the wagon I am pulling.

Needless to say to was angery at me..

Ok so I am 20 years old and I want to become a police officer here the bay area of california. I am a little worried that some things in my life will prevent me from being a police officer. Its mostly just from my first work at a grocery store where. I worked there when I was 18 and I remember I ended up taking a mini stapler, and maybe a soda or two. I meant to pay for those items but didnt end up doing it. I dont really know whether its because i forgot or what but will this prevent me from becoming a police officer in a big city out here??

Now our prisons are overcrowded and more and more violent people will be bailed and cautioned and free to rip another families world apart and take the life of an innocent kind hearted caring fun loving person like my Dad. I hope they rot in prison.

Why is that Reserve Police are not concidered police? Some are allowed to be armed and some not (different cities), but they wear almost the same uniform and can be mistaken for a "real" cop and do almost everything the police do, Even take courses to become a Reserve, take the same risks, but yet some cities do not "allow" them to carry weapons while on duty.
It doesnt make sense to dress and act like a cop, take the mandatory courses in law and firearms, drive a patrol car, serve supoenas, and assist the "real" police and not be allowed to defend yourself if need be.

This goes for anyone else that willingly engages in a high-risk activity. Should they have to bear the costs of the risk? Even partly? Obviously we don't want them to die, but does subsidizing risky behavior encourage it?

The child was thrown through a glass curio cabinet, and required 4 stitches by the birth parent- felony or misdeamenor?

2007-02-23 06:43:21 · 2 answers · asked by joye b 2

I was wondering if police stations will ever offer a "pre-pay" bail list for minor misdemeanors. You simply determine the cost of bail for whatever minor misdemeanor you intend on committing, sign the appropriate papers, mug shots & fingerprints BEFORE you commit the act. This would save the grief of waiting in a jail cell, calling bail bondsmen etc. Once you get arrested for your misdemeanor - you simply flash the officer your "pre-paid" bail card & you go home right then and there. Who should I suggest this idea to? - The police commissioner or my state representative?

*77 from cell phones
I knew about the red light on cars, but not the *77. It was about 1:00PM in the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a friend an Unmarked police car pulled up behind her & put his lights on. Lauren's parent have always told her never to pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they could get to a gas station.
Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice and promptly called *77 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she was, and there wasn't. He then told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back up already on the way.
Ten minutes later 4 police cars surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her. He was a rapist and she helped capture him.

I'm just curious, maybe some of you big city cops could explain.

1. MS13 = how huge is this gang? we just had a brutal murder here and he was working at a meat plant under an assumed name. what's the deal? what's their M.O.?

2. husband got a packet from some agency w/ info on different gangs that said that in most larger cities, if you have lots of asian run nail places and buffets, you already have an asian gang problem. is this true? i find it hard to swallow.

any info you have would be interesting to me.. thanks.
