i think that depends on your age and from what i know, after three years of no activity on your record, your record should be cleared. so you should be fine. i hope that this helped.

Normally, the answer is no.

In most states, your juvenile record is sealed when you reach majority (18).

With the way that the country is militarizing the civil police since 9/11, however, they will probably want some thugs to wear the badge.

Depends on where you're trying to become a police officer. Such minor stuff might not matter or at least will only require an explanation and proof that you haven't been like that since your citations were issued.

Might also depend on which force you're trying to be hired by - State Troopers.

All juvenile records are sealed and are not accessible, even to police agencies in most states. However, it may show up on a polygragh. There may be certain laws that protect you from job discrimination based on these sealed records. Check your state labor laws.

Like someone said already it depends on the state and agency that you applying for. Most places it will probably not make a difference, as long as you are truthful on your background questionaire. My current job wanted me to include all my high school transcripts and disciplinary records. On the questionaire they explained that ANYTHING could be used during my background. So anyone that says an unconditional "no" is unconditionally wrong.

As long as you are completely honest when you are being polygraphed, tell them about your past record, and make sure you haven't had a recent occurance in a few years before you apply.

As long as you are honest about your past "infractions" as a juvenile it should not be a problem. The best cops were usually troublemakers as a juvenile.
