I was doing 58 in a 50. I get pulled over by an officer, because I was breaking the law.

I was guilty..no question!! NO problem either!!

So we walks over to my car with a tooth pick in his mouth wearing his sunglasses.

He asked me why OH why were you speeding on MY road?

I said good day officer, yes I was speeding, I am guilty of this offence..NO question about it I said.

but...........

this is not your road...he say's WHAT!!! I said yes, it's not YOUR road, the road belongs to me and everyone who workds in the private sector...those who pay 100% of everything, so you see this road is mine, not yours. YOU my dear officer are an employee of mine, your car is owned by me and the private sector...as per LAW! Please allow me to educate you furthur. We who work for non-governemnt (tax-payer funded) jobs pull the ENTIRE wagon known as my government, you are a part of the 22.8% of the ones riding in the wagon I am pulling.

Needless to say to was angery at me..

I'm not surprised the policeman was rude. They are all rude. Two times my boyfriend has been harrassed by the police for nothing. One policeman arrested him for tripping and falling when he got out of the car. He was sick but the policeman accused him of being drunk. I'm at the point that I'm afraid of the police for just this type of thing. It is a gross abuse of authority.

I look at the speeding ticket. If he did not reduce the speed and it is actually 58 in a 50 - That was a waste of time for a stop to begin with. Unless that particular road has many bad accidents or fatal that was a ridiculous stop. We all know everyone speeds it is a matter of professionalism that we allow low speeders to go by and wait for the dangerous ones. As far as comments go on both sides - an unprofessional police officer and an unprofessional gentleman tax payer.

If the cop stops you for speed, as soon as you immobilize the car you grab the driver's carpet, get out of your car as fast as you can and slap the carpet like a mad man on the concrete, pretending it was on FIRE! My uncle did this the cop couldn't stop laughing. If the cop stops you for an illegal U-turn between two highway lanes --like when the cop is hiding to check speed -- you slowly stop at the level of the police car, as if you had intentionally went there to talk to the cop, take a french accent and ask your way to Quebec. Worked with my dad -- the cop actually stopped the circulation on the other lane to let my dad continue his way. If the cop stops you for not doing a stop, you better be dressed in a dark suit, with dark glasses, driving a cadillac. You take a very confident attitude. You say you are with unit 9-17, on a very highly confidential investigation. You are currently following a suspect. Worked with my bro.

That can change at a moment's notice. "Owning" anything is all perception.

It's where the band planned the famed 1971 show at the Fillmore East concert hall in New York City, a live recording that was later released as a double album now considered one of the most influential records in rock history and one of the best live recordings of its time.

The band had moved to Macon in the late 1960s at the request of Phil Walden, former manager for soul singer Otis Redding and the brains behind the Macon based Capricorn Records, the core of the Southern rock movement.

I am one of the people on your "wagon". Strangely though I also pay taxes, here in Canada it is about 45% of my gross wages. So I am pulling my own wagon as well.

This particular officer sounded arrogant, but then so did you.
If you would have plastered a fake look of remorse on your face you might have gotten away with a warning.

What does wearing sunglasses have anything to do about it?
UVA/UVB rays are dangerous, and we spend most of our time outside. The toothpick thing is gross, but maybe he had just quit smoking, I would explain the stupid, "my road" comment.

Although what you said my be the truth and funny, arguements and debate are better left off the road and done in court if need be. If you felt that the officer was being rude or unprofessional then take his badge number and complain. Trust me those complaints can pile up on an officer and affect their advancement with in the department.

Personally I think the officer came off alittle rude.

Both of you were wrong. By the way, the road also belongs to that officer so he was right in saying it was his too. Do you think that Police Officers do not pay taxes, City State, and Federal?

Although you could have just acknowledged your wrong and accepted the ticket, while you were right, your approach wasn't what the badge monkey wanted to hear. I have the utmost respect for officers who not only uphold the law and follow it themselves. Unfortunately, when society pis a badge on someone with a bad attitude then we all apy be being subjected to badge-monkey mentality.Perhaps you can file an anonymous complaint with the ethics committe of your local police force

Sounds like one of you needed to do their job and not worry about who the road belongs to and the other one should have exercised their right to remain silent.
You both acted unprofessional and you both should be ashamed.
Albeit, I give you credit for being honest about the infraction but you should have left it at that.

Godspeed
