If an IES Officer beats her wife then what should one do? Please help and suggest. IES Officer belongs to Orrissa, INDIA and having some strong political and good administrative connections and he thinks that he can do anything. As he is having some good friends like an District Megistrate and SSP. The problem here is her wife's parents also supports her son in law as they says "it common" every husband has rights to beat her wife. Its normal. That lady is in been consised by her parents currently. If any one can help me then please come forward to help and contact me at 9897880875. Or if there is any NGO then please do let me know.

I also know nothing will happen, everyone will blame me. But anything for my friend. If I find no solution then please tell me what to do. As I lost all possiblites for my friend that she is alive also.

Though summons has been issued for this IES officer but he is ignoring them and our law is giving them time and date after date. PLEASE HELP ME..

It is illegal for anyone to interfere with the IES officer's private affairs. He can punch, beat, kick, stone and even outright kill his wife if he so desired. That is allowed under Indian law.

If the wife is in the custody of her parents, that is in violation of Indian law, and the entire family may be subject to being put to death.

I would take my friend out to dinner, and expalin to her that one day he will kill her, and offer her a place to stay with you, and tell her to pay attention to all those movies where those woman get killed because they think that the husband isn't capable. That is so sad.
