Ok so I just found out I made the police list for my town and ive been looking forward to this for a long time. Now my mom never let me have a gun in the house, but she said that if I pass the written exam then I can buy a gun. So now that I passed it I want to know what do some of you recomend for a first hand gun for someone who only used a gun 3 times? I was thinking of buying a glock 9mm and spending anywhere from $400 to $800

Me and my friend were riding in my car. My friend was driving. I have fictious plates. My plates go on my other car because I cant pass the E-Check. Anyway, we got pulled over and my friend says he's not paying the ticket or going to court. Who will they come after for the fine though?

just my luck. im rushing to class and run across an empty street not noticing that there is a no ped crossing sign. (cause i never jaywalked there in my life until now) and i see a cop car pull out of nowhere, i get ticketed!

well i got a few questions for this. usually how much is the fine for my case. and do i have to show up on court? (i have no way of disputing b/c i told the cop my situation and he didnt drop anything)

also. i know that this is not a felony... but do i have to add this citation on job applications that ask about tickets? (this is my main concern)

and i know im stupid for doing this and i have to take resposibility for this too. but again this is my first "ticket" and i wanted to know how to handle it. thanks.

When a person is let out of jail, and the have had the oppurtunity to choose the county they will live in, are they transported there from the prison after their release?

he said it looks like 350day in jail or probation but only if he pleas guilty. This happened in Jan this year and he's just now in court for it. We werent together then, but he was on a date and the girl had way too much...passed out in the car...and he only had maybe a couple of beers that nite, and bad thing...was smoking pot too..he didnt think the cop had seen that part cause they searched the car and didnt say anything about it and didnt take it either. He has been to jail before but only for outstanding tickets and nothing else.

so with that being said....what are his chances of getting probation and all that comes with it without any jail time? Please dont be rude about his actions...they are in the past and yes now he is paying...but also dont sugar coat what can happen. Serious answers only please!

Are testimony of 1 witness saying that the suspect has confessed to them about a crime enough to find them guilty of a crime if the case goes to trial? my cousin is being charged of ARSON 3rd and criminal mischief. the court decided to indict and wants to take it to the grand jury....if he plea bargains they are only going to give him 5 years probation and convivt of class e felony of criminal mischief.....but he doesnt know wether he should take this to trial or not..........the only proof the prosecutors has is his confession to a friend .....and thats preety much it.....do u guys think he should take this to trial or plea bargain.........he's trying to protect his record.... thank u

I have a buddy who's currently signed up in the military for 4 years. He's a Sgt in the Marine Corp and has one more year left. He really wants to be in the LAPD but heard that past use of drugs will not get him in. I know he's going to have to take a lie detector test and he wants to be able to answer everything honestly. He has used meth when he was 17 to 18 on and off before he joined the Corps but he is now 22 and changed his life totally around. Does he still have a chance to go in?

My ex-girlfriend literally created an assault out of the blue and filed an order of protection against me to get me out of our rented house to make room for her married boyfriend coming in for spring training. He works for the White sox. I was on the lease but she modified it and gave the judge the forged copy. He upheld the order. There was no assault, no arrest, no police report even though they came out to investigate. She said she felt threatened because I own a gun. Do I have any recourse?Thanks for the feedback.

Just wondering. A frind of mine is applyin for office work with the met police but her sister is always in trouble with the police and has been in prison for a year for drugs. And even though they live 100 miles away from each other and arent close, does this affect her application? She is a graduates and has never had any problems.

this is a question that was put to me by my doctor...
when a person is put on a 24 hour curfew and is not allowed to leave the address where they have been curfewed to,is it legal to take away this persons rights?
they cant go anywhere without first asking permisson from the courts,and they are missing out on medical treatment due to this order....
this person also suffers post traumatic stress,and finds that not being able to take a walk to clear his head is causing him to relapse...
can anyone give any advise please....

I was involved with a married man..hmm..for about 5 months...
i never really got too close to him, i lied to him alot, cause i knew the reltionship wasnt serious....untill he started paying for EVERYTHING....i mean even a trip to europe ..which was not cheap.
( i met someone in europe closer to my age and not married or having kids)
i never told him when i came back because i was moving there and i have already seen how retarted this man can be..(peeking under my door to see if i am there...waiting in my parking lot...calling 40 times a day...just showing up.. ect..)
so i decided to move to europe and forget everything..but he didnt.
he is calling my home and harassing me saying he wants all his money back. (i think he got the number from my friend OR he got it from an old phone bill that was in my mailbox when i left. i live with my new boyfriend so i called here ..before i moved her
