Dude. They cannot arrest you. I don't care how much you owe. They CANNOT arrest you. The only thing they can do is take you to court if you flat out refuse to pay. What I would do is send whatever you can each week to get them off your back, but they cannot and will not take any action against as long as you are making an effort to pay on your debt.

A lot of collection agencies are operating illegally. They use fear and threats to con the people to pay. Send there letter to the Better Business Bureau also if they call put them on hold or push the # button on your phone a half dozen times this will remove your phone number from there auto dialing list. They collect a percent of what they collect so they will lie ,decieve and threatren it works because of the fear factor,It cost money to take you to court and if the amount isnt worth the cost they will fade away .

Obviously you are not a stranger to this as you cite "every other loan". This is a civil matter, not a criminal. You can not be arrested. You can be sued and they can recover a very large amount to include filing fees, interest, penalties, etc. I served papers on a person that had a 100.00 instant cash loan where they defaulted on the payment. It cost them 1800.00 dollars in the end. (Interest rate was 875%. Big name company too!)
