The ban in Philadelphia went into effect no so long ago and it has been great. Every place I have gone into has complied with the ban. Hopefully, you will have the same result. I can't wait for the rest of our state to catch up.

I'm a smoker, and live in the Dallas area...we have restaurants all over here that have the ban....i have never seen anyone not follow it. its only about an hour or so without smoking...if people can't handle that then why go out to eat anyway. you will probably notice more people standing outside by the front entrance smoking if they just have to...but otherwise it hasn't been that big of an issue that i have seen

wow- that's a great question. I am a manager at a local restaurant here in ohio- and my employees have to stop smoking in the restaurant today! i am confused too! if i catch them, do i call the police? i do think some people will not follow the new non smoking rules, and there will be a lot of complaints!

I'm glad I don't live in Ohio. This is just another example of government going awry and people letting themselves be hearded like sheep. Speak out and speak up tell them you have a right to smoke it is your body and your lungs. For those who don't smoke find a different section of the restauraunt. Take back the country people or next we won't be able to drink a soda cause it might make us gain some weight

Each individual place will enforce the law. If you do see a violator, just tell someone in the building and they all have access to their security number. Considering that the monitary penalty for the violation is pretty hefty, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

i think that you will be able to eat and not smell smoke however please eat low calorie food because the next ban might be on obese people.
