What are the restrictions on the guns that you're allowed to carry? What does the "background check" entail? I'm researching this for my older sister.

P.S. this was the best-fitting category for this question.

There is a family in our neighborhood that has a man living in the garage. Does anyone know if there are any laws in Texas that say you cannot live in the garage? I know it's possible that a city code could state something like this.
Thanks

Why do some of the less intelligent people in this country INSIST on driving SLOW in the LEFT LANE? Don't you geniuses know "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT", and that, although it's not enforced for the most part, that it is ILLEGAL to drive in the left lane UNLESS you are passing? In most of europe, and especially in Germany, it is a VERY hefty fine, and can result in confinement. SMARTEN UP, you dorks! Stop backing up traffic! Stop BREAKING THE LAW!!

What have been your experiences working with law enforcement? I just received my Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Law and Society from UC Irvine, along with another Bachelor's degree in Political Science. I'll be starting law school next year, but I work p/t as a legal assistant for now.

I just got an interview for a Police Cadet position with a local police department, and I'm sooooooo excited!!! Please share any experiences, tips, or advice regarding law enforcement, which you might have!!!

On the radio today there was something about the law being changed regarding domestic violence victims committing suicide. That the perpetrators could be held responsible? My colleague talked through the entire report and I cant find it on any news forum. Did any one catch it?
