Law Enforcement & Police - October 2006

I was talking to my mother today and she said the man that took the wee girl from her bath got found guilty. I hadn't heard the story, it happened last year.

Anyway, this man took a 6yr old from her bath, raped her twice and threw her in a back alley in December 27th, She was found shivvering crying naked and scared.

I am so appauled with the sick people out there. what would make them do such horrible things. Poor little girl she will be mentally scarred, all for him.

People like this should be locked up in a cell with nothing but a toilet. Made sleep on the floor, and they should throw away the key.

Sorry if im ranting on, but as a mother, its something its like a nightmare, thinking my child may not be safe even in her own home.

Beast.

here is the full story if anyone want to read. :o(

I recently was bored and alone in bar (due to a grotesque growth on my face i think). I had a little too much too drink and decided to spike myself with some Rohypnol in my cider and black. I woke the next morning with chaffing hands covered in kipper smelling yogurt. This I found ok but the police man waking me said I was nowt but a w.anker.......should I complain?

I have a neighbor who raises about 20 horses on his 5 acre property. Not only are they very noisy and smelly, once a month, about 40 cars arrive and dozens of people ride the horses around the property kicking up dust.

I don't know if he sells these horses or runs a city slicker horse riding school.. don't know exactly.

So what can I do about this. Isn't it illegal to raise so many horses and run a business out of the home? He's also annoying because he runs his tractor at 3 in the morning. Asked him to stop but he keeps doing it, which I will report to the cops for noise ordiance violation soon.

Can't move because I just built this brand new home then this guy builds his right next door.

My fiance and I were pulled over a few nights ago, and I was ripped from the vehicle and put in cuffs, and was told that I had a warrant for missing court, on a noise ticket violation ( I was served with a summons in October to appear in court about it again in December, and my calander still says October, so what is the deal?), anyway my fiance was driving and he soon joins me in cuffs, as they stated that his license was suspended (news to us, as we just had a copy printed at the DMV, and they didn't mention anything.) We were both stunned and we asked a lot of questions to no avail. I was told that my car was parked fine, so that it wouldn't be towed, yet they had us sit in the van to go to the county for like 40 minutes, they pulled off with us just in time for me to see a tow truck take my car! We both were bailed out within an hour, but when I asked about where my car was towed to so that I could retreive it, I was told that I had foreited my car, and could not get it back?!

The police in New Haven, Conn. have concluded that the 29 year old man who killed his 58 year old neighbor over a reported molestation had not been molesting her. The father, upon hearing from his wife that their two year child had complained of molestation by the neighbor, went next door and stabbed the man to death. The father faces murder charges, and the mother may be charged too, for filing molestation charges against the neighbor.

This sounds like there might be more to it, because what parent would KILL someone based on what a two year old said? And if they did believe that a two year old could be reporting the truth, why wouldn't they report it to the police and let them do their job, instead of taking vigilante justice, and apparently misplaced vigilante justice in this case. into their own hands.

What do people on this forum think of this man? Is it possible he became unhinged upon the mere report of this information, or do you think more is going on?

If you get a driving offense through the post is there anyway to say you don't know who was driving as have any driver insurance. If no one comes forward would the police have to drop the charge? I've tried the black driver one so couldn't see the face as smiling (as Police cannot play the rascist card.) Also tried quoting the name of the Chief of Justice as a friend of mine, (name from the headed paper.) Tried saying their letter looked fake & could be identity fraud from me so not paying but all didn't work. Also heard if stall more than six months the fuzz give up on the case? but never tried this yet. Is there anyway out of a speeding fine even with photo evidence of vehcile?

I was going thru the questions and I found a question asking if a bond could be revoked that was put up thru a bail bond so that he would not have to pay the full bond if his daughter did not show up. I always thought that went you used a bail bond company you only put up a percentage of the bail. The bail bond company kept this as their fee for putting up the rest and if the bail was forfeitted, they were the ones who had to pay the rest of the bail and then they were the ones that tried to find the person who skipped and bring them back so that they would get their money back from the court..

Some council jobsworth has reported me for this.... from the time on the ticket it was when they were out of work as well.
I agree that littering is wrong and i made a mistake, but i am grieved that this person did not try and approach me, or give me a warning or ask me to pick it up first.
It was "on the approach" road to Tescos. Therefore this jobsworth was behind me and could have approached me after i parked my vehicle and went into the shop.
This road doesnt have a name, and i am wondering if it is a private road belonging to Tescos. However i have been told the Highways agency charge for such info.... and £60 fine is a bit steep as it is.

Shall i cough up the fine or is it worth fighting it?

I've used a bail bond company to bail my daughter out of jail but I don't think she is going to show up for her hearing, can I revoke the bond so I don't get stuck with paying the full bond.

in our town they have started this, during the busiest time of day 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. to get so called happy hour drinkers, they haven't had one arrest, this is during schools letting out, they do it at the local high school. my opinion, this is entrapment for one and such a waste of our tax dollars, then these same cops are out that night drinking and driving. this is justice huh?

This was a minor traffic accident where a wing mirror was clipped (on a very badly parked car) - would the police take action to force you to disclose the name of the driver or is it something that it wouldn't be worth their while pursuing because of the cost involved? Do they have to prove beyond all doubt (ie with photos of the driver) who was actually driving?

Online this morning South-African newspapers reports of major chaos in road traffic yesterday due to traffic officials being instructed by the traffic department's top management to pull off all vehicles consisting of just one occupant, namely the driver, reportedly to "frustrate" the motorists! The result, of course, was chaos of disastrous porportions. The whole city of Nelspruit came to a standstill. There were accidents and the ambulances couldn't get through. Alle over people were late for word. Ironically, one of the big shots who gave this ridiculous order, was also caught in the traffic jam and he tried to get in touch of the officials in charge to cancel the order, but they didn't answer their phones! To make things worst, at the same time Nelspruit was struck by one of South-Africa's now notorious power failures!

Now, what do you think? Isn't this just the ultima of stupidity?

Anyone know why most slogans for local and national police departments contain the words,"To Serve and Protect"? When in all actuality, there is no law or legal responsibility of an officer to defend you, or help protect your life. Any insights?

In a situation where a officer becomes unruly and abusive, what right does a citizen have to personal safety? When you are being detained and/or arrested, and an officer doesn't appear to have mental stability, do you have the 'right' to physical protestation? Example, running or fighting the detention. Any examples or web resources? Thanks!
