I recently purchased some clothing from China. I know now that it is fake. I really do not care, I'm not going to sell it, I plan on wearing it myself.

What is the possibility of my order being caught by customs?
What happens to me if they do catch it?

Here's the deal: I got my first speeding ticket ever and I am debating whether or not to go to court. My reason to go is that I did not speed (50 in 35)- at least not as excessively as the officer siad I was going (40). He never told me he "clocked" me or had me on radar. My gas tank was below E for the past two days. I was PASSED by 3 cars. He didn't care. I could give a lot more details, but I want to know if it will be worth it for me to go.
1) If I pay the ticket, will it go on my record? I want a fact here, not an opinion.
2) Does the officer usually show up? Is it true if he doesn't I don't have to pay?
3) If the officer shows up, will he show a tape or something, since he didn't mention showing me on radar? How does he prove I was speeding?
4) How can I prove I wasn't speeding if I have just one other ticket on my record, for which I was guilty and therefore paid? Will they know that?
*The first to answer all my questions honestly/factually will get the 10 points.

I sold something on ebay for $180 and I got really sick and was unable to send the item. I was in the hospital. The buyer recieved no communication from me so he figured he had been scammed. I've since tried reasoning with him and explaining and I've offered to send the item. He doesn't want to hear it. He filed a claim with paypal and won, but there were no funds in the account. I feel for the guy because he is out this money, but due to my recent illness I have missed work and have mounting medical bills...I simply can not pay him back. He is threatening to contact my local police dept. He is calling my house. I dont know what to do.

I'm writing a book about a woman who kills her husband when he was beating on her (she stabs him with a kitchen knife). I don't know what procedures the police would take in a situation like that. I want my book to be as accurate as possible. Keep in mind that she stabbed him in self-defense.

People commit crime, go to jail, build up hatred for the system that put them in jail and learn how to commit crime more effectively inside.

A waste of human life and tax money to keep these inmates in their cells just rotting away until they are released.

I take the view that ALL criminals are made by circumstance and upbringing - there is no 'criminal' gene, the crime is made by the system and the criminal has bad actions.

If you want clarity, just get some stats on the conditions criminals are brought up in for some supportive evidence.

Anyway, I propose prison as a secure community - where prisoners live as citizens in an enclosed village. They work, get paid, and live outside community. This is to reform bad learning but not to punish what is effectively not their fault.

They can buy education with their income and other items which teaches the value of money. A huge resource is wasted - why not use it?

Finally, a certain highly secure section is reserved for bad behaviour.

Okay...a guys question a few mins ago reminded me of this....About a year ago, I was at a gas station at like 3 a.m. calling my mom on a payphone (i didn't have a home phone or cell). Anyway she works nights as a nurse and i have insomnia so i decided that i wanted to talk to her about something...i'm getting off of the point.....anyway, as i'm sitting there in my car (i pulled right up to the payphone (it was cold outside!)) and this cop pulls up and asks to see my drivers liscense...BTW i was at a 24 hour gas station...he gets my liscense and runs it and low-and-behold i have a warrant for a freaking bounced check that i had wrote a while back and was fighting the bank over (longER story). Anyways he procedes to cart my A$$ off to jail....can they do that??????...i wasn't breaking the law talking on the payphone....

I'm guessing that there has to be more than what you read on the photo page (name, passport #, date of birth, place of birth and expiration date), and a log of the dates you've left/entered a country.

I've gotten so many interesting answers for my previous question I decided to ask this one too.

I think the most disgusting criminals on the planet are those who get pleasure out of pain and suffering of others. especially young children, innocent people or those weaker than them in general.

As to the issue of what to do with these people is, well i'll leave it up to u to decide.
